  1. I know this is an old thread but MK Machining has an adapter to take the mounting off the barrel and mounting with a rod that is attached to the forearm. It attaches to a picatinny rail. They run about $150. Majority of my rifles are bolt guns so I am going to have to add a rail to the forearm. There or a coupe of other ones out there.
  2. This is strictly about rifles & how it saved my bacon before a deer hunt. I have the CED chrono and like it. But decided to give the magnetospeed sporter a try for my rifles, bolt guns. Never wait till the last minute to develop a ballistic card before going deer hunting. As usual I did and after doing a ladder test for a new barrel it was late, very late, no sun & no infared screens for the CED chrono. I figured I was toast since I was flying out the next morning. Remembered I had the Magnetospeed and figured what do I have to lose. Set it up in my shop with overhead lights on and shot into a berm outside my shop door. It did everything I wanted and I got my first white tail buck at 300 yards. They have upgrades out there to mount it to rifle without mounting to barrel, So for pistols it is the CED and my rifles it is the Magnetospeed.
  3. Thanks guys for the information provided here. Was wondering how to mount bullet feeder to a pole. Found Range Panda, thanks to your input and ordered a few extra parts. Thanks again.
  4. I am getting back into USPSA after a couple years absence.. I wear Danner Vitals on the farm and previously when shooting local matches. Looking at trying some 8 " Merells with the side zipper. Was wondering if they would give the same support as lace up only boots? Thought I would ask before buying. Any pros or cons would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  5. Hey guys looking for some easy on easy off glock base pads for shooting production. Looked at Taran Tactical and Dawson precision. Leaning towards the Dawson Precision. Any suggestions on others to take a look at before buying?
  6. I have shot ICore and love my revos, especially not having to pick up a bunch of loose brass. I have recently shot a couple of local USPSA matches with my glock 34 and what a hoot. I am shooting production with gear that I have laying around and it's working ok for now. I ended up using some glock 21 mag pouches, which allows me to have the bullets facing away from the body in the pouch. I like this because I do not have to turn my wrist a 1/2 turn to insert mag into gun. I pull the mag out and it goes straight into the gun. As far as the rule book it seems that this is legal. What I would like to find is some pouches that are specifically made for my 34 in this orientation. Any ideas on where to find these or where I could have some custom pouches made? Sorry for being so long winded. Also at the same time if you could let me know how to follow this topic since I am not on here that much. Thanks in advance for your replies.
  7. No idea. But thanks for posting,
  8. My kids got me a Kindle fire for Christmas 2011 and it stayed in the box till Christmasd 2012 when my daughter came home & showed me how to set it up. I am reading Mel Odoms final book in the Hellgate Trilogy called Covenant. I also like Larry Corriea's Monster Hunter books. Google: Larry Corriea gun control and you will go to his blog page where he writes his opinion on gun control. I am now an avid fan of his and will read every book he writes.
  9. OK guys do not know if this is the right place to post, but here goes. I have shot a few ICore local matches and have be using Doug Carden's,, 180grn jacketed rn Icore loads, very good ammo and good guy to deal with. My question is I would like to reload my own practice loads. My problem is I have about 2000 rainer 230 grain jacketed hollow points that I would like to use up. Any body have any ideas if this is feasable or is it to much of a stretch, that is POA would be to different. Or should I just bite the bullet and get me some 180 grn Rn platted bullets. Any suggestions would be appreciated and any load data would be very helpful. Thanks in advance, Jerry
  10. +++ to the above. One of the best books I have ever read, I have read it twice in the last 15 years. The second time just for the enjoyment of revisiting it. This is one movie I would wait in line to see.
  11. How do I know my e-mail address is defined? In my profile it says Contact info then below that says e-mail then next to that says private. I am wanting to be sure that I am following the rules when posting FS in classified.
  12. I would like to add "click here to e-mail me". Have some items to put in classifieds. I have searched this forum, page by page, and have found no clues. I have tried going to profile but see no way to update. Help please.

    Albert Einstein

LOL. My wife complains about my fixation with her TA-TAs. I tell her the reason is because I wasn't breast fed as an infant. Which is "True." And she is not a relative, only by our marriage.
  14. Mark, yes I will be a regular for ICORE.
  15. PS: I forgot a few thank yous: Warren Moore @ Protocall Design for some fantastic sights, Bod Purdue @ 4 Wheel guns for his NM moon clip holders and other products he has for us revo guys, And all the members who put stuff up for sale in the classifieds with a reasonable price. Jerry
  16. After a year perusing the other shooters forums here (2010-2011) and having a race gun built. I found the Revo forum and decided this is where I want to play. Another year (2011-2012) here soaking up all of the fantastic advice I jumped in and shot my first ICORE match at NVSA(great bunch of shooters) in Gridley CA last Sunday 2/12/12. As you see I said shooters because one of the members (Wendy) set up a stage that knocked my socks off. What a rush I would like to thank all of the forum members for your inputs. You have all helped me with my initiation into ICORE. Would like to thank Mike Carmoney for the fantastic work he did on my revolver. Would also like to thank Doug Carden at DC Ammo for some great ICORE loads. And a big thank you to Brian Enos for making this forum available to all of us. Thank you all, Jerry

    which 617

Okay guys & dolls, Since started reading post in Revo forum I have started a family with 625-8 5", a 627 no lock full lug 5' 6 round and a 627 PC 8SHOT 5". My next acquisition must be a 617, it will for cheaper practice sessions. Since will start as a practice gun for ICORE which barrel length 4 or 6" and why? Cylinder I am leaning towards is the 6 shot to keep with the 6 round guns. So when I practice it will go bang, bang, bang, bang, bang, bang and then click if I pull trigger to meany times. Whete as the 10 woud go bannnnnnnnnng, bannnnnnnnnnng, bannng, bannng, bannng, banng, plus 4 more bangs, thus confusing my count. Your input would be appreciated. Any and all advise will be weigh for its reasoning, Thanks, Jerrt
  22. 3:30 in the morning and can't sleep. Found this post. Hopefully someone from the dark side will get this. Let me know what you shoot. Here goes: To the town of Aqua Fria road a stranger one fine day Hardly spoke to folks around him didn't have too much to say No one dared to ask his business no one dared to make a slip for the stranger there among them had a big iron on his hip Big iron on his hip Saw this singer at a college concert and used term big orange on his lip as a parody of his song.
  23. The targets do not break up like regular glass. So as stated has to be sugar glass or whatever. As a kid I used to shoot all the glass bottles etc. in ditches for fun then realized that some poor critter could get hurt. So I stopped that and started shooting the critters (only kidding on the critters except for crawdads)
  24. Cliff, WOW!!!!, fa-fa-fa-an-an-an-tastic. It's always the quiet guys you have to watch out for. Beautiful gun handling. I don't have that kind of composure when I am reading these posts. Now I have a face to go with the name of one of the guys representing us at World Shoot.
  25. OK, OUshooter How due you know? I have a Dillon 650 not put together yet with case feeder. If not dry media, then what?
