  1. I was loading 9mm's Monday on my 12 year old Square Deal B when I heard a pop! I saw that the left side Link Arm was separated at the lower bearing. Damm! I called Dillon and they said a replacement Link Arm was on the way. Meanwhile, I pulled one off of my other SDB and finished up. The replacement arm arrived today, 4 days later. Not one but two new replacement link arms and 4 new brass bearings to replace the nylon bearings that were originally installed. What a company! Great service, new parts, fast delivery and no charge. Thank you Mike, there will be a fourth Dillon on my bench in the near future. Bill
  2. Cabella's New 2011 Shooting Catalog has the M&P Pro 9mm, 17 rd mags listed for $39.99 each or 3 for $109.99. I bought 2 from Natchez Shooters Supply just before Christmas but I noticed that there are no S&W mags listed in there lastest catalog. Good Luck! Bill
  3. A Matt, I don't know the science behind it but the 147gr. bullet making 130 Power Factor has a much softer recoil than the 125gr. making 130 Power Factor. I just let a friend shoot a magazine loaded with three 125's, three 147's, three 125's, and three 147's through his M&P. He ripped off 12 rounds and then gave me a surprised smile. He couldn't believe he felt that much difference. The 125's definitely had sharper recoil. Load some of each and try it yourself. Bill
  4. Check our Drop Box, www.dropbox.com, it's free. I use it for files such as homemade movies that are too big to go as e-mail attachments. Put your file in your drop box, give the link and anyone can download it. Bill
  5. I use 3.5 grains of Unique with the 147 gr. Lead RNFP bullet. It gives me 890 fps and a 131 Power Factor. It's a nice soft shooting load. I shoot an M&P Pro and I'm no Glock expert but I thought that lead bullets were a no-no with the G17. Bill
  6. Well, you got me wondering about mine. I load S&S Casting 147 gr. lead FP's to OAL 1.130 to 1.132. I just cycled 8 rounds from the magazine through my M&P 9 Pro and happily there are no rifling marks on any of the bullets. Maybe your bullets have a longer bearing surface or maybe you do have a short chamber. Hope you figure it out because those kinds of things can drive you nuts! Bill
  7. My cheapest 9mm load is (all prices delivered) Bullets from S&S Casting 124 gr. Lead Round Nose $124.90 for 2,000, Unique Powder from Powder Valley 8 lbs $128.00, Wolf Primers from Widener's 5,000 for 125.00. I've never bought brass, it's all picked up at the range. Using 4.5 grains of Unique comes to: bullets $0.062 each, Powder $0.01 each and Primers $0.025 each for a total of $0.097 or $9.70 per 100. Leading has not been a problem in my M&P Pro. Happy loading! Bill
  8. S&S Casting - 9mm, 115gr or 125 Gr. LRN $55.50 per 1000. Flat rate shipping $13.75 for 70 lbs. Real good bullets. Bill
  9. Two things. One, remove the catch cup and with a good light, look straight up through the hole that the primers drop through. That hole should be perfectly round and a little larger than a large pistol primer. It is possible to put the bottom plate, between the press and the plastic cup holder on slightly askew so that it blocks all or part of the opening. Second, run a piece of wire up through the hole and make sure there are no pieces of primer stuck in the chute. The chute makes a slight "S" turn on the way to the bottom. One of those two things is usually the problem. Good luck.
