I use the m frames. They are comfortable for me with my hearing protection
-
I think ghost also makes mag pouches that are relatively inexpensive

Tuned mags is a must
Not sure I agree with this for a 40 anymore.
All of the newly manufactured 40 STI tubes I have received (at least 8 in the past 2 years) have all ran out of the bag by simply dropping in Grams followers/springs with a base pad of my choice. They all fit hold 20 and fit the gauge as well. They run no different than my 4 "tuned" Brazos mags, which also only hold 20 comfortably/reloadable. Feedlips are all within spec as well.
Have someone tune them for 21+ maybe, but for 20? I don't believe the hype anymore.
I find it hard to believe I got lucky with 8 different tubes bought on different occasions.
You have had better luck then I have then. I had an issue with one of mine grams guts and TTI base pads. The others were good.

You have it right. Put the inner belt through the belt loops and fasten it in the front. If you are shooting USPSA (assuming you are) place your mag pouches wherever your division allows then fasten the belt on your inner belt with the ends attaching in the back (opposite of the inner belt)

I'm having the same issue and i am pretty sure that it is the springs but it's doing it with multiple mags. They are newer springs and followers (maybe 200 rounds on each). How did you bend them to get them to work?

Grams springs and followers

For 3gun I wouldn't buy a single stack. If I were sold on a SA pistol it would be the TRP

Price would be my determining factor. If the USPSA were close to a new trojan then I would probably get that one.

They aren't functioning in the gun. I tested the gun with a tuned brazos mag and it worked flawlessly. I also used a friend of mines 2011 and it ran with tuned mags but not my mags.
Thanks for the recommendation Sarge

I have a set of sti mags that were put together with grams guts and TTI followers. Is there anyone that will take and tune them if I send them out? Don't want to ruin them by doing it myself as it would be difficult to replace so I'd rather have someone that knows what they are doing take care of it for me...

I'm a fan of the ck frames, my limited gun is built on one.
I have heard good things about PT as well

Are you running a shock buff?
-
They say you can safely go down around 1#. I think that is too light for most shooters. I personally like my trigger pull to be around 2.5lb
-
Earlier in this thread someone posted an eBay store that had them for cheaper than I have seen them anywhere else

For 2k, you can have any of the smiths on this forum start with a Trojan and make it exactly the way you want it. If I wanted it for competition, I'd go that route, otherwise I would go with the Baer

I have had the bag for about a year and a half and haven't had any issues with it sagging or losing form. I leave my ammo in the bottom storage compartment and all other necessities in the upper compartment
-
You could get plastic shims and glue them to the bottom of the mags. It doesn't look great but it gets the job done. That's my one gripe about the dawson ice magwell is that most regular base pads are harder to seat with the slide forward

I know Bobby at freedom gunworks would strongly suggest that you run an aftec extractor in the 9mm double stacks
-
If ur looking for a semi custom go with brazos. They stock the high performance edge and do all the work you would typically have done anyways. Plus they will sell you 4 tuned mags at a discounted price when you buy the gun from them.
Otherwise go full custom and wait a bit longer to have exactly what you want (that's the route I went)
-
If it is only for 3 gun then go for the edge, if you want to shoot idpa then get an eagle with a bushing barrel. It would suit you for 3 games. 3gun, idpa, and uspsa (limited minor)
-
How is tulammo brass?
-
I hear it is 400 for 4 when you buy a gun from them.
-
Go with the brazos edge. Then you get a deal on the 4 pack of tuned mags...
Recommend mags for 9mm 1911.

I had an issue with the Wilson etm's but others have had good luck with them
