Watched it when it came out. Favorite series on YouTube. I like that you review guns that might not necessarily be considered competition guns because it gives a unique prospective.
Thank you for being a viewer. I sure ain't doing this for the money, so good feedback from guys like you help keep
me going.

so what you are saying Steiner P4XI + 3K rounds of .223 = Razor 1-6
That is a good choice! I am a Burris man so I would go with the RT-6 or XTR2 1x5, but that Steiner is solid!

Hard to hit something you cannot see
Much better off with a high quality 4x than a low quality 6x.
This dude gets it.
We have all gone so "power crazy" (magnification) when it is not needed in 3 gun.
If you can >clearly< put the aiming element on the target that is all you need.
More "power" (skill) in your trigger finger is the real key.

Many a non competition handgun can be run pretty effectively in competition. Sure, not a first choice, but as I preach, fundamentals first, gear second.

This extended lug is the area I’m referring to. Upon fitting the barrel, you have to meticulously file this down until it has enough clearance for the barrel to barely wedge between the locking block and the bottom of the slide.
The slide has to move backward until that entire pad has moved rearward of the locking block before the barrel can drop free of the slide.
Yes, an increase in horizontal dwell time is key! The H9 does not lock up like a GLock or Smith or CZ or...or ...or
But I am working on a way to improve that dwell time.

I've had a few offered to me as trades and have held off until I was able to develop more info.
Now that I have more info, it would appear that I would need to shoot the individual pistol first before I would move forward
I did not have that luxury. I have to fix it if only to sell it.

Read your review yesterday over lunch Patrick. Thanks for writing it and taking the time to produce the video. Always a pleasure to watch - so calming and soothing LOL : )
You are most welcome and I am known for my stoic nature.

Thanks Patrick! Love your videos. I bought the Q100 based on your review. One funky trigger to get used to.
It IS funky...but it is very shootable!

I appreciate the response, it makes sense. Looking forward for your future content.
To actually answer the question. Without real data, I "feel" the HK would be need less maintenance and
be more long lived over its lifetime.

Looking forward to the review P.E.
Why don't you accuracy test it like you have other guns at the end of your reviews?
You might want to use a laser instead of the sights, people complain that big front dot makes it hard to aim precisely
American Rifleman review showed extremely good accuracy, another gun rag showed moderate accuracy, and some youtubers have claimed poor accuracy.
Oh I have accuracy tested. Looking for some other testers results.

I did not mean to have the above post be personal, it is more of an overarching philosophy about guns and gear.

Awesome! I love your videos on Youtube!
My EDC is a Cajunized P07 and I used to carry a VP9, I’m curious to hear your detailed thoughts of the P30L vs P09 if you get a chance.
I don't really have "detailed thoughts”.
Most every gun I review is a fine tool for the jobs we do. In my thinking it is about our interface with that particular tool.
Some fit us, or feel better to us, than others. Some make us feel better about ownership (cool looking, custom, exclusive, or currently hot).
Within this forum (and seen often within our gun gaming community) we throw money at whatever platform we have in
front of us while looking for the next greatest tool and the next and the next...
We all know "inside" that we are element that needs the money thrown at it! We are the only real thing holding our scores down.
Now understand that I love to experiment and tune and tweak and learn about these ballistic tools. How to improve them and make them more friendly to me and my pursuits. However given that I have taken over 50 handguns out of the box and shot most of them to podium finishes, I know it is me more than the tool in my hand that matters.
Sorry that is not much of an answer.

I just bought one and shot it as I do at a Steel Match for video review. Curious anyone shoot groups with one? I mean someone other
than the internet doofuses who can't shoot and won't beyond 7 yards?

If I had to choose between which one to keep (I still have both) the HK would stay.

PRS Gas Gun rules have a 800 yard max for distance and a minimum target size that is larger than the bolt gun side.
While the handloader has always had the ability to Hot Rod any cartridge and take the time to monkey with wildcats, many of us
just wanna play and factory ammo is a great way to enjoy PRS GAS matches without hassle.
I do have a different viewpoint than most as I shoot lots of different games and don't have the time to reload nor the need for more than
maybe 1000 rounds of precision ammo per year. Buy it and I am done.

Shot this a few years ago.

Have you run the numbers on the 224V when handloaded? Or are you comparing factory ammo to custom one offs?

Sorry Pat, YOUR gun needs to have the mag well welded to make mag changes a press fit.
Merry Christmas.
So a few turns in a vise should do just fine then?
