  1. A local range rents.guns and I tried that one out once. It was nice and very accurate. Shot a hundred rounds through it. I would consider it if I shot single stack.
  2. As far as I know there isn't a limit. I usually shoot 40 cal but I'm going to shoot my 9 at the next steel match to save money on rounds(no pf like uspsa) I don't have enough standard mags so I'm thinking about trying out my 31 round glock mag there. It was included in the sale, so I should use it sometime! I can do 5 strings with 31+1.
  3. I tried skateboard tape but didn't like the grittiness. I bought some agrip and put it on my glock. It feels soft as a pillow and I may nuzzle up to it in bed later, but the live fire test is soon to come, hope it works!
  4. When starting to acquire gear, I noticed any bag with a gun company logo inflated the cost four or 5 times. I picked up a Stanley tool bag for twenty bucks at wal-mart for uspsa matches and going to the range. Works great and it has a hard plastic bottom so it stays dry and upright. It also has a few compartments for storage and handy pockets.
  5. I've started dry fire practicing with the predator tactical online par timer. I hook my laptop up to my bigscreen so it gives me something to point at by making the target bigger. I'm planning on getting a real timer after I recover from my start up costs for the sport (I'm a newbie) I also struggle with my mind going blank when I hear beep.
  6. I have ordered "the glide"
  7. Glad to see you on the enos forum. I love you!

  8. I just sent three new mags back to Para (p1640) because the followers were sticking. My para is 8 years old, never jams, the original mag runs great, but I had trouble with the new ones right off the bat.
  9. I really like the Dawson ice magwell.
  10. And if it helps with advice on this topic; I shoot a Glock 35 in limited. I also have a Para P1640 I'm considering trying in limited.
  11. What about the light viscosity slide glide? I was considering that since I live in Ohio,(It's either hot or cold here)
  12. I'm curious about lubricants used by other members. I'm interested in the slide glide, and have previously just used Hoppes oil. I bought some rig gun grease that was readily available at a local gun shop. Any comments on this lube, and are their places on the gun I shouldn't use it? I'm new to USPSA and handguns, so any input from experienced shooters is appreciated.

  14. Thank you. I respect this forum and its content, and I apologize for my content as this is not a forum about politics, but a wonderful reference about the great sport of competitive shooting. I'm new here so thanks for the link. In all honesty I was just venting a little frustration, and there are different forums to talk about that at. I'll stick to talking to people about tips to make my rookie butt better in the mega cool shooting sports.
  15. I do respect the businesses' private property rights. But, I use the free market to not give them my money.
  16. Inexperienced at USPSA but freaking love it (that's why I'm on here in the first place) and I know this is a competition forum primarily... but, to get it off my chest: (mounting a very tall horse) In everyday life, personal protection is the foundation of the 2nd amendment. So, post places of business in your region that don't respect your right to defend yourself. So far in Dayton, Cincy area in Ohio: IKEA United Dairy Farmers Morris Home Furnishings My workplace, Sonoco Products Company (unfortunately can't boycott this one yet because I have to eat and pay for my pack of stray animals...) I don't like to go there either I'm trudging through college to get out of this one. Tell your friends about businesses that don't respect your rights as responsible human beings to defend yourself and be free. Let's try our best to not support businesses that don't respect our rights.
