  1. I am feeling a little challenged as I have been trying to find the definition of the "Bill Drill" for the last hour and I can't find it anywhere. Anyone have a link I can use? Thanks!

    Airsoft

From what I have heard from others is that if you buy cheap you will have to replace often. Even the expensive KWA's ($150 I believe from BAM Airsoft)like I have tend to break under the heavy use. I have had very little problems with them, but I did have to get my head wrapped around the fact that I am going to have to become a little bit of a mechanic with them sometimes. Hope this helps! Airsoft

I will admit I am a fan of the guys at www.bamairsoft.com They support and discount for USPSA shooters as well! They are excellent USPSA shooters in their own right and they train with what they sell. I use two KWA 1911 Double Stacks and I have well over 10,000 bb's through the one and 5K through the other. I have had an issue with the first one and sent it back to KWA and I was very impressed with the customer service I received! The weight of the pistol is close enough to my Glocks and the targets from BAM are set up to scale and can be used in my garage. Phil and Dale are wonderful and helpful to work with and let me know if I can help in anyway. I feel as if I am improving at a much faster rate than I would without my Airsoft training set up. I also use the Dry Fire Trainer app for the iPhone. Cheers, Kent
  4. My Surefire works great for my Air Soft training as well! It didn't work well on my first iphone, but works great on my new one.
  5. This is exactly the problem I have as well! It is the transition that makes me cross eyed..
  6. I love that you guys keep reiterating what my mentors keep telling me! I am learning to not re-invent the wheel and just keep training as you guys have suggested.
  7. Sarge, I feel your pain! This whole thing is confusing! Some of the guys on this forum, have shed some good light on the subject behind the scenes with PM's. There has to be an economical way to do this and have the doctor comply...... I had occasion to see my doctor today and I told him of your experience and I was quite pleased to hear him say he would give me what I want..... When and if I can afford it... Good luck Sarge! Kent

  9. Thank you again Singlestack! So is the key phrase to him going to be "I need inserts?" I appreciate your time and sorry for my confusion! Kent
  10. Greg, again thank you! I will look into the Rudy Project site and see what they have. My doctor doesn't seem to want to go that direction, or maybe I didn't explain to him as clearly as you just stated. I am going to take your words and let him read it for himself. Do I just get the prescription from him for "Get your dominate eye corrected for a sharp front sight and the weak eye corrected to infinity"? Then send it to Rudy Project? Thanks Greg!
  11. I wear progressive lenses in my daily wear glasses. I use Rudy Project glasses for shooting with the prescription inserts. I tried progressives in the inserts but the lens was too small. They didn't work at all. I had another set made with regular bifocals and they work great. I would not recommend standard safety lenses for what we do. The do not provide the impact resistance that lenses designed for shooting do and they do not provide side coverage. Flying shrapnel and brass don't care if you head is turned the wrong way... Thank you Singlestack! I will look into Rudy Project Glasses. Much appreciated on all aspects of your answer! Kent
  12. Larry, thanks for posting this as it has now peaked my interest enough to go get my eye exam. I am guessing you have had good success with these online eye companies? I tried to find the shatter proof glasses on the website above and I couldn't find it. I also made a post today to this thread and in it my doctor thinks he can prescribe glasses for both eys that will work for our sport. I think I am going to give it a try and I will let you know what I find out! Cheers, Kent
  13. All of this eye talk has made me realize just how crappy my vision has gotten. So I went and had an eye exam today and the doctor was very willing to talk about my needs for my USPSA shooting sport. He wanted me to ask you guys what types of lenses are you using? Bifocals, progressive? Etc. I mentioned to him that some of the shooters on this forum thread were only correcting the right eye and not the left, but he seems to think he can marry the two lenses together to make it perfect for me. I am assuming that standard safety type lenses will qualify as far as protection is concerned? The strength of the glass to deflect flying objects is what I mean. This thread has been a great help and I look forward to hearing from you guys! Kent
  14. Thank you for taking the time to reply! Do you think the Safariland is different from the Pride Fowler CQLR series? I do love the fact that there are so many players in the game and yet it sure can be confusing... I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
  15. Forgive me if I am doing a no no , but has anyone heard anything recently about the 1:4x32 QR-TS PITBULL 35mm Tactical Compact Scope. I suspect it isn't working that well as other than the first post when it came out, there hasn't been much of a mention of it. Kent
  16. I have found this to be helpful. https://spreadsheets0.google.com/ccc?key=pwswheghNQsFnUZMkZNF2DQ#gid=0
  17. Jesse, how are you liking the Millet DMS for 3 gun? Cheers, Kent
  18. Anyone looking for a comp might want to check out this thread. One experienced AR operator said it was the best of the many he has ever used. http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=55210
