One of the 930's that Dan is talking about is mine, it started as an SPX. I ditched the ghost ring sight, found a 28" ported barrel on line, had it cut down to 22" and threaded. And I love it, just need more time behind it.

Right, I should have elaborated. That is what I get for trying to pay attention to that many things at once.

I had a 930SPX sitting in the closet that I reconfigured to shoot 3gun with this year. I found a cheap 28" barrel on line, had a smith cut to 22" and thread for chokes, picked up a Nordic Comp +4 extension kit, and it is ready to go. It shoots everything I feed it, and it was considerably cheaper then some of the other options out there.

I have a few newbie questions, if you wouldn't mind me asking. How do you fill in the end, and how would you lighten the feed ramp? Also, when doing this did you just file it so that it was flush with the inside wall of the receiver? I think I want to do this, but I am a little worried about screwing it up. Thanks Ed

I have an SPX that runs like a champ. I am having a barrel cut for next year. It is a fun gun and reliable, but for me, a shotgun is not my first choice for HD.

Wouldn't it be easier to just cut a 20 inch barrel down to 16?

Thank you for the reply. I went ahead and ordered them, and they do work as I was hoping and you describe. Now I have a problem with the mags running empty and not locking the slide to the rear. I have to look at it closer, but I think the mag well might be forcing the mag to a forward cant and messing with the slide catch. Either that, or I botched up the "easy fit" ( ) trigger kit I installed. Anyways, thanks again for the reply. Ed

I have an XD Service 40 that has been collecting dust in my safe that I am going to start shooting Limited10 with. I want to open up the mag well with one of these; unLimited Magwell but I want to make sure that if I add the biggest slam pads they have (.375) to my 10 rounders (ban state ) that enough of the mag/pad will protrude enough to positively seat the magazine with a flat palm slap. Does anyone have any experience with this situation? Thanks for any help.
