Montana Gold JHP, price and availability, good sponsor for the sport.

I don't know Nick, seems like the new Area guy remembers everything?
-
Hey, Kevin, go easy on Nick and his boys, he minds his manners when he is North of the border.

I would say that it can be done successfully. I did deepen the cut-out where the handle moves forward into the cartridge chute to get the full throw of the handle. Has worked well for me.

http://uspsaalabamasection.org/ This Alabama section page has a Google map with the clubs in the area. Willing to travel? Atlanta is about 200 miles east with plenty of clubs.

Both ran well in my 9x23 chambered gun. I loaded the 38supercomp in the 9mm setup with good luck and it ran as well as the 9supercomp.

At least into the early 90's, as I have one from when I joined.

Although I believe that the Palm scoring system is on the way out, some kind of electronic system will replace it in the near future. At the clubs in my area that use Palm, it works very well. Training up people to score is very straight forward and we always have new people who are interested in learning how to use the system. It takes some time up front to ready the system for use, but what I hear from the data entry at the end, it is a real time saver. With requirement of a paper copy at the bigger matches, right now Palm seems to be best used at the L-1 matches.

When I worked in LE sales, we had a few of these carbines in PDs for evaluation. For the most part, the departments liked them, but the biggest problem was the max 10 round mags.

Happens to me every Nov., can't wait until April. Should have moved South and West when I retired back in 2001.

4.6gr under just about any 124gr bullet at 1.160, runs about 134 pf out of my G17s. Accurate, cheap, easy to use.

Damn, wish I was going to be in the area. Best of luck to all my OHIO friends.

Steve, just tell them you are a "GM Flash" and that should take care of any problem. Do like the "Kahr" line tho.

I use Dillon dies in all the stations and don't have any problems with either minor or major loads. 99.9% pass my Dillon case gauge.
-
I have never had any drifting on my 550. Whatever is causing it it's not normal at all. Call Dillon.
+1 I have six complete powder systems, old style with dual springs, and have never had any drifting on any one of them.

"I shoot 9 major so I don't have to pick up brass, gives me more time to concentrate on the match, etc, and I don't have to be out in the sun picking it up when it is 110 hot."

With 9mm I don't feel like I'm spitting 15 cents out on the ground every time I pull the trigger. I switched from 9supercomp to 9mm on both my open guns and feel that there are enough options (powder and bullets) in 9mm for me.

I really miss the Rayner Hills.

I have run WAP/Silhoutte at 5.3gr under 124/125 OAL 1.16 and it works OK. I like IMR 7625 at 4.6gr better for my Production load in a G17. YMMV

Here is a mod I did to catch all the spent primers. Works great
Oh, high tech, I use duct tape.

I've seen the PF fall more than that as the temp increases. Nothing unusual in your data in my experience.

What happened to the "we don't give them to lefties" committee?

I was there and saw each of your stages, not surprised a bit that you ended up third. Good job.
Big matches for newbs?

I think my second or third match was a Sectional (1994). Shot it with a Sig 220 and 7 round mags, talk about a handicap! Go for it, it's a great learning experience.
