Flex, who coached you thru the directions?
-
Flex, you wouldn't know a revolver if it bit you on the a-- er ankle! No plastic to speak of and you don't have to cut the barrel off with a sawzal.
-
Pat, glad you enjoyed yourself. Jim and the gang tried to move in an "IPSC" direction with the COFs this year and I think it worked. Don't forget about the "ICORE at DORR" match on August 22nd. Contact John Trautmann at 616-399-2153 for more info.

Actually both "Elwood" Mike and "Herky" Mike lurk here often. Always a pleasure to shoot with the crazy Canadians. Great match.

I happened to shoot this match, which was a very good overall match, the stage was one that did require backing up. While not an unsafe act, the RO should be aware that the shooter is going to do just that. I vote re-shoot.

Actually he made the top 20 in Production also. You have to shoot more divisions!

Carried along a backup for my Limited gun for years and never once took it out of the bag. Both are SVs and have been totally reliable. In fact last year I had an Open upper made for the former backup. Murphy will now act and one or the other will take a dump, probably in the middle of a match.

Steve, I pretty much asked the same question a couple of weeks ago. Several replied that supercomp would run in 9x23. I have found that supercomp, loaded the same as 9x23, will case gauge, chamber gauge, and cycle in my 9x23. 38 super would do it with some extractor tuning.
-
After losing about 70% of my 9mm Supercomp brass at Sunday's match, I started thinking about switching the gun to 38 Super. Using Starline brass, by the way 9mm Supercomp is now 9x23 Comp, the price difference is almost $30 per thousand. My Dillon dies are labeled 9mm/38 Super and I decided to case and chamber gauge 9mm Supercomp, 38 Supercomp, and 38 Super to see what the difference was. My understanding is that 9mm is a slightly tapered case. All three examples passed the 9x23 EGW case gauge and all three chambered in my barrel to the same depth. Am I missing somethin here or do I have a unique situation? Any input would be appreciated.

You are going to have to triple your high figure. At 4 to 5 local matches a month and an average $15-$20 per match, it gets to $1000 easily. That is before you count the NRA Action pistol and steel matches.

Maybe by the time I'm done with the 15 pounds of WAP I have tucked away, there will be something even better. I also like the price of the Winchester powders as compared to several available other brands. If the info is right, you should be very close with that load. Good luck.

That's what I've heard. I don't see it available in as many places as Winchester is unfortunately.

Here is what I used for years before switching to jacketed, 5.5 gr WAP, 200 gr D&J, Win small pistol primer, loaded to 1.190. SV Infinity with standard barrel, heavy dust cover and heavy contour slide, running a 14# spring. If I remember correctly is was about 170 power factor. Hope this helps. Too bad they quit making WAP, I like it alot.

Actually the bad guy is lucky Kathy didn't have a gun also. I have shot with both Jim and Kathy numerous times and they both can hold their own. Glad they and the customers are OK.
