This has been a hot topic lately, if you do a quick search you'll prob find tons of info........that being said-- Vanek, Sotelo, and now Glockworx seem to be the latest greatest.
Hope that helps, and I'm sure you'll get lots more replies too.

Need to work on this, because the one I made is 3MB, and it's already compressed with DivX codec: it exceeds the max allowed size for attachments.
I'd be glad to host it for you..........send it to me via email: cnemikeman AT yahoo.com
and I'll get it posted up.

I know Tom from Action Shooting Supply will be there, just FYI..........

I usually only see them on guns where the barrel is ported.......which is the majority of guns these days.
-
Talked to Wayne about stages at Arkansas Sectional......my understanding is they are pending approval from USPSA and then will be posted....

I find 7625 to go faster when the temperature gets lower, which is 'backwards', but it works, especially as I usually end up chronoing in 95 degrees and 95% humidity..
Hmmm......thinking ahead to Area 4, maybe?

Yepper.........those are the ones I was thinking about.
I figured it would be external mod, but it never hurt to ask.

Shot this match last year.........it was a BLAST! Don't miss this one if you can help it!!

I have an M&P with the interchangeable backstraps, and wanted to know if any specific ruling has come down yet or which one will apply as far as modding the insert. Can one of the aftermarket 'snakeskin' models, or 'stippled' models be used and be production legal? My gut instinct tells me probably not, but I haven't seen any grip tape options come out yet, so figured I'd ask. I'm considering going back to shoot Production for a while, and this is most likely the gun I'll use. Thanks in advance for any and all thoughts.

This was a GREAT match!! Our first time here, but def not the last.
Great job to Ron, David, etc........ congrats to the winners, too!
I couldn't have found a better way to spend my birthday weekend than shooting this match-- it rocked!

Vanek. The best. Period. Haven't heard too much about these Glockworx triggers, other than being new to the market. Stick with what is the best, get the Vanek.

Edit to add: Dryfire will be a huge help to get you moving up out of D.

Can't wait! It's my birthday weekend!! Yeehaw! Now lets all hope for the rain to pass thru BEFORE we start shooting!!

We were told they recommended to NOT use Rain-X, FWIW.
It probably is fine, and lots of folks do it all the time, so probably no harm/no foul, but that was the company word. YMMV.

Hmm........this sounds VERY familiar. I'd say check to see if the brass is hitting the scope mount.
Aftec is the way to go, too!

What chrono you using?

Everytime I need to buy a replacement part, I order from Bob. My guns are all practically Brazos without the name. Good stuff, great service, too.
If I ever get the $$$ for a NEW gun, I'm confident what direction I will probably go.

Call Bob. That's your best bet.

Good deal. See my earlier post for my load data.

What gun? That's an important part of the equation.
In a G35, stock barrel: 4.6g of n320 w/ 180 JHP Montana Gold
In my STI Edge: 5.0 of n320 w/ 180 JHP Montana Gold
-Mike
Edit to add: both w/ Winchester small primers. Rifle in the Edge, pistol in the Glock.
-
If I can't get in to my local gunsmith, anyone here got recommendations on who can do quality work with a quick turnaround and point me in their direction?

When I was shooting a 35 in Limited, I had the THE Accessories brass magwell, tungsten guide rod w/ 15 lb. spring, Heine rear and Dawson fiber front sight, Arredondo basepads ( I did use Dawson, they are good too), TruGrip grip tape, and stock trigger. Used the rest of the cash for ammo.
I was shooting 4.3 Titegroup w/ 180 JHP and it wasn't bad. I switched to n320 but it isn't really more than personal choice. Good luck.

Don,
Don't do that! It's gonna be a great match......the hotel folks just ain't real bright. I've got this link to help:http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=45637&hl=

Update: All the naysayers seem right--shot a match today--- better, but not FIXED!! The brass at least now ejects in a nice pretty arc instead of dribbling out, but it did jam periodically when you start 'getting on it' and pushing it. Looks like the next thing is to put in a new ejector (matter of fact I just ordered one from Brazos! ) and see if that corrects the issue. I know Bob's stuff is all top notch, and I went ahead and ordered the 'pre-tuned' one. I'll prob still have my gunsmith do the install, but damn this is getting aggravating!! At least we know the new Aftec works. Two weeks till the Arkansas sectional, and she wants the gun to RUN, and so do I.
