  1. This has been a hot topic lately, if you do a quick search you'll prob find tons of info........that being said-- Vanek, Sotelo, and now Glockworx seem to be the latest greatest.

Hope that helps, and I'm sure you'll get lots more replies too.

  2. I have an M&P with the interchangeable backstraps, and wanted to know if any specific ruling has come down yet or which one will apply as far as modding the insert. Can one of the aftermarket 'snakeskin' models, or 'stippled' models be used and be production legal? My gut instinct tells me probably not, but I haven't seen any grip tape options come out yet, so figured I'd ask. I'm considering going back to shoot Production for a while, and this is most likely the gun I'll use. Thanks in advance for any and all thoughts.

  3. Vanek. The best. Period. Haven't heard too much about these Glockworx triggers, other than being new to the market. Stick with what is the best, get the Vanek.

Edit to add: Dryfire will be a huge help to get you moving up out of D.

  4. We were told they recommended to NOT use Rain-X, FWIW.

It probably is fine, and lots of folks do it all the time, so probably no harm/no foul, but that was the company word. YMMV.

  5. Everytime I need to buy a replacement part, I order from Bob. My guns are all practically Brazos without the name. :) Good stuff, great service, too.

If I ever get the $$$ for a NEW gun, I'm confident what direction I will probably go.

  6. What gun? That's an important part of the equation. :)

    In a G35, stock barrel: 4.6g of n320 w/ 180 JHP Montana Gold

In my STI Edge: 5.0 of n320 w/ 180 JHP Montana Gold

Edit to add: both w/ Winchester small primers. Rifle in the Edge, pistol in the Glock.

  7. When I was shooting a 35 in Limited, I had the THE Accessories brass magwell, tungsten guide rod w/ 15 lb. spring, Heine rear and Dawson fiber front sight, Arredondo basepads ( I did use Dawson, they are good too), TruGrip grip tape, and stock trigger. Used the rest of the cash for ammo.

I was shooting 4.3 Titegroup w/ 180 JHP and it wasn't bad. I switched to n320 but it isn't really more than personal choice. Good luck.

  8. Update: All the naysayers seem right--shot a match today--- better, but not FIXED!!:angry: The brass at least now ejects in a nice pretty arc instead of dribbling out, but it did jam periodically when you start 'getting on it' and pushing it. Looks like the next thing is to put in a new ejector (matter of fact I just ordered one from Brazos! ) and see if that corrects the issue. I know Bob's stuff is all top notch, and I went ahead and ordered the 'pre-tuned' one. I'll prob still have my gunsmith do the install, but damn this is getting aggravating!! At least we know the new Aftec works. ;) Two weeks till the Arkansas sectional, and she wants the gun to RUN, and so do I.
