I don't think you should ever try to use a barrel as hard cover. Their is no need for it. If a MD does insist on using barrels as hard cover then the part of the target that is behind the barrel should be painted black. This way it eliminates the arguments about did the bullet pass through the barrel. That brings up another point if the target is painted part black for hard cover then the barrel is not needed anyway unless you are hiding the target from other shooting positions. As a MD don't put yours SO's in a bad spot with having them try and figure out if a round passed through a barrel or not. We dealt with this issue at a major this year and it was not fun to say the least.

If you stipple and undercut the trigger gaurd you would be in ESP. You can stipple removable backstaps and remain in SSP but that's about it.

Looks like they have recycled at least 25% of the match from previous years. Glad I decided not to go this year.

My wife's Eagle fits the box with no problem. I grinded the magwell until it would go in there with the top closed. Revolvers are the only firearms in IDPA that don't need to fit in the box with lid closed.

Why? They're deeper than the Ready Tactical holders and hold the speedloader with a bit more pressure both of which help a great deal when using "Bubberized" speedloaders in particular. This is not to say, of course, that the Ready Tactical holders won't work. You might also try Master-Tac. They are a new company but have good quality products. So you have shot three matches and beat one master and now you think you should be sponsored? I think you should first get classified then shoot a bunch of majors. You will see where you really stack up when you start shooting majors. Once you start shooting more you meet more people and build relationships. Sponsorship comes from those relationships you make. At least that is how I got mine. You must walk first before you can run, if that makes sense. In other words don't bite off more than you can chew cause you can really have it handed too you at a major. Can be a very humbling indeed.

+1 I would rather bump at a major than on the classifier anyway. But if you want to bump on the classifier here is how to do it. Just go and shoot it very loose and don't worry abut your score. This way you shoot to your ability and things take care of themselves. When you TRY to make a certain class is when things go wrong. The best classifier I ever shot was last year and I had no idea of my score until it got added up. 101 and change Mr. Evil, ESP EX. "What no way add that again please." Crap I didn't even get the chance to shoot ESP SS at a major.
