I'v been watching your 6in build........ I bought a few 40 Schuemann barrels the other day, ordered two Caspian stainless slides and bought that stainless SV grip off B E the other day, so one will have a SV lower and the other will be STI. I guess we'll be ready for 2013 with are 6in sight trackers

Start with Crimson ( H-221Q ) for the base color........ add some Red ( H-216Q ) mix and start add Black ( H-1900 ) just a little at a time. When you think you are close to the color STOP as the color will darken when it dry"s. You may need white also,,? If your not baking it just use the air dry colors.

Here's a few pics of a repair on a lower lug 1911 barrel. Had a friend of mine at Briley's weld the lug with 303 stainless rod. Need to do a little more clean up, but for the most part it's done.

Those pics look awesome.... the barrel to slide fit looks nice and tight. Do you have any pics well you were cutting.? Love to see build projects like this keep up the good work. Are you shooting 40 or 10mm .?

I'm using a aluminum guide.......... I just cut out around the reverse plug and inside the dust cover area....... haven't had time to test.

I'm going to cut the classic cut a little deeper and cut out were the reverse goes. I may cut also inside the dust cover, to get more weight off the front.

Here's a 9mm 6in. .......... shot it on Sat., need to tweak it little, the big thing is the slide needs more weight taken off, back to the mill.

Here's a few picx of a comp , I build for a friend of mine. It's made from 303 SS so I could just glass bead it , and match the chrome on the gun and not have it rust. The first 2 picx is what he had , and the rest is what I build him...... My son tested it to day, he just had a big it is super flat shooting.
