guys, I am from the 'more is better' group; 3.2gn Bullseye for now.
at least until I shoot the match with these 100 rounds,
then I can adjust down a tich.
always good to save powder, especially now.

i saw Jerry Mikulec (sp?) on youtube use one for cleaning .223 brass.
I envy him the open space and barn.

hi ya, without going to open the safe and check I believe that I do. they work fine. however my latest purchase I put truglo combo sights on from Brownell's
I get good competition sights as well as night vision. since this latest one is a G21 I kept it stock for GSSF matches. The CZ is single action with a light trigger so it doesn't really matter. But yes Cajun has good stuff.

hi ya, 3.2 gn works fine. so do all the others from 4.2 down; less is better
BUT will they knock down 8" steel plates at 30-35 yards remains to be seen?
I think I wont load all 500 until I can take some to the next competition.
and I shot them thru my CZ. will my XD work as well?

the problem for me with 3. to 3.2gn has always been the tumbling.
I just loaded 5 or 6 each with 4.2 and 3.7gn and will head over to the nearby indoor range asap.
I will let you guys know what happens.

well done, I am glad I read it. I have a gold cup colt and was thinking of a trade as I am more of a tactical guy than a bullseye and the gun hurts whenever I have a FTF or such as I am racking it in a hurry.
well all things said here I now know not to long after a gun that wont last. only ED Brown or Nighthawk or some such would really do it.

here I go again: I have 500 147gn truncated cone moly coated bullets to load
and just enough Bullseye to do the job.
So with all the forum itel I have picked up I jacked up the load to compensate for the Moly to 4.7gn Bullseye. And I got tumbling bullets
thru my XD9-Tactical (5" barrel).Lyman Cast Bullet book says 3.5 max for lead, should I drop down?

its clearly marked '08' which make sense since the gun was mfg in 2008, I bought it new in 5/09 and the sights were professionally taken off in favor of the competition sights I had put on. (in those days I hired people to do my gunsmithing, since then I do it
).and Swift got it right I expected brighter, but they are probably fine.
Today I checked the trigger pull and it is 3 1/2#; too light the way it is for a night stand gun. so if I need another one of those I will look elsewhere in my collection.
I will save this thread should I get the urge again, I can always change the pull.

yup, some luminescence. I needed them at night in a dark space. I don't know if they were stronger when new. but I guess this is good. I have no way of measuring light, do you?

hi ya, my xd9-Tactical came with Trijicon night sights, which I promptly took off in favor of competition fibre optics.
now my buddy bought a XD9 and I am thinking he could use these. however they are blank! no light left.
it was sold new to me in May of 2009.
do you think I have a chance to get them to replace the sights from Springfield? Or am I missing something?

I have next to no powder! its a California problem; I was in the Mid-West recently powder and .22LR's everywhere!
I have the following:-
1/3# bullseye
1/3#Power Pistol
1/3# tite Group
1/2# "231" some might consider me lucky,
I don't want to load 147gn loads without some support. Any suggestions to help me finish up these molys?

Right, stock Glock barrel not good with lead, so they say. Also Glock barrels are 'unsupported' in the chamber area it seems and are subject to case explosions if you use range brass as I do. Therefore I have a LoneWolf match barrel. And I don't think that lead gets built up in the barrel anymore. The Moly build up is normal and fine. It is a lubricant and will wear off if you are not shooting more moly. Maybe I am wrong; I am color blind, so copper may not show up. Anyway many good suggestions above on how to remove copper or lead. one thing thou' I haven't found real brass ChoreBoy anywhere beware of imports.

hi ya, lots of moly coated 9mm thru my cz75 and my xd9
I was scrubbing too much
after all what harm can moly do.
now I have a g21 but the lead thing scared me enough to buy a LoneWolf barrel. not only lead but unsupported case in chamber issue. especially as I use range found brass for my reloads.
uh, and I found this www.blackbullets.com guy and his seem better.

when possible get a book; hodgden's book is free both on their website and in reloading shops.
Lee's book is cheap..neither list Power Pistol though
Lyman's Pistol & Revolver Handbook, III Ed. book does:
for lead 147gn. Power Pistol is the preferred at 4.1gn produces 939'fps; and at 4.6gn it is 1033'fps. for plated add a bit of powder I think...imho. it has more resistance in the barrel I am told.

HI Yer, they all wear out.
what scared me is the following:
front facing bedroom smoke alarm went off
neighbor heard it
no one home
called FD
other neighbor had our key
let FD in just in the nick of time
before they broke my new double pane window
just to see a lousy smokey
and what did they do?
they reset it.
later that day I returned and bought all new ones.
the last thing I want is FD in my garage
counting the weight of my smokeless (20# max).
or some other dumb thing.
which alarms, ??? don't know. whatever Costco has.

however if i recall
my gunsmith had me learn to take out to the left and reinsert from the left??
but that was on a 1911 or some other gun not a Glock. (confusing)
