hi "J",
yes Dillon dies. i haven't recalibrated the setup lately, good idea. i have been using case lube lately, works real well. I'll get back to you when I do calibrate dies and press. noteworthy is that i have same problem with Lee Pro 1000 press which is where i started on this batch So problem seems not to be in the current setups.

I used to use Bear Creek moly bullets; these wont go into battery on the second one in chamber: i have a G21, my friend tried on a 1911 same story.
Mayvin who is coaching me says:
- use Lee Carbide factory crimp die
- tighten shell plate
- rotate finished round and run thru FCD again
anybody care to wade in?

hey, the internet is again my friend;
its clay,
i threw it out.

Hi Ya,
I found a bag of kitty litter in my reloading room (aka garage). it is finer than the crushed walnut i get at the bird store. would it work as polishing media?
much obliged,

CJ, really nice looking gun. except for the target sights looks just like my 75B-SA. But I have been wrong before.
I always heat the kydex; Bladetech would tell you that voids warranty though.
good luck,

Boomer, 'our own range' [i am jealous] what state are you? matches in winter are the thing here in Commieformia.
i just did a steel challenge. its much easier than my previous decade doing 'steel madness' which is akin to IPSC, much tougher.
Challenge is great way to get family involved.
what advise can i give? i dunno, just enjoy it.

I had an older one. Too finicky with delicate parts due to age would be my take on it. As well as AMMO problems. Although I have always used center fire for steel matchs. Today someone had a new Ruger mark lV. Which is a fine improvement over those older ones. Anyway no accounting for Ammo problems. More than center fire.

so what i heard was that the .45acp was all small pistol primers until the Military decided that Large was better.
Right now i am just saving mine for the day when we have to scrounge for any consistency in components.

Hmmm, not for me necessarily. i have a roller handle on my 550:
one day i loaded two-three hundred 9mm for a steel match. the moment i took first shots at match the next am i knew i was in trouble. my hand hurt terribly.
i think i went too fast and could have lubed the press better.
having said that i have a 450 with ball handle and not sure i notice any diff.
good luck, lube press, even case lube pistol brass.

So do I. Use the manuals: Lee, Lyman, Hodgson and others. Get the two closest loads to whatever bullets are cheap. I use moly or hi-Tec coated or plated 124 grain. 147 grain also.

nice, enjoy it.

Not sure if this is going to end my search; I read OP post about cold or hot weather affect on thin aluminum so I bought on eBay. Anatomical plastic or rubber. I'll post when they arrive. Oh, and $20. Including.

Just a heads up, but if your health insurance offers coverage for hearing aids you may be able to get soundgear or SportEar high end custom electronic earplugs covered because they use hearing aid caliber ciruits and chips. They're both supposed to be quite good
I went the Sport Ear route; but returned them after they tried to fix mechanical problems twice.
Now I use a deep set of Peltor which is comfortable on days i spend 8 hours or so with them on; Whereas others are either too tight on ears or annoying inserts. IMHO

HI Ya, not small but medium size hands: now that my current CZ grips broke should i go for aluminum thin grips?
Or will they feel the cold more when i shoot up north as someone suggested on a review i read?

wear a "Jackie Howe"!

HI Ya, i hope you are not in my area; 20 deg off, ouch!

If you're referring to a CR Speed race-type holster, then it's not legal for Production. You'll have to go Limited, Limited 10, or Open if you use it.
Yes that's it. I will change my reg. Much obliged.

Do I need limited? I have a CR speed holster. Does that take me out of production. This is my first (USPSA).

I see your pain. I have only one eye. It does limit speed. I only shoot for round count count now.

Tell us more.

Give it a few hundred rounds to break in.

HI Ya, since this thread i have a CZ-75B SA (now 8,000 rounds) and the XD9 Tactical i mentioned above when i started (21,000) thru that one.
the lips on the mags for the XD have moved for some unexplainable reason as i had left off using it for competition a couple of years ago.
So i began doing Steel again and the mags for it that i had modified had failed to feed. i need to readjust.
meanwhile i got the CZ back in tune and it doesn't need any adjustments. so i have nothing to report on that one.
Good luck,
Max
