    Sp base pads too tigh?

Well. I had to take a very thin file to the base pads. It wasn't just a little tight. They were impossible to get on. I didn't want to mess with the mags incase I end up not liking the SP base pads. I was worried about being able to get them off in the field. Thanks for the reply.

    Sp base pads too tigh?

I just got my order from springer precision base pads. 4 for 17 rnd mec-gars. Went on easy. 3 for 18 rnd CZ mags that came with the pistol. I can not get these on. And if I do, it is really really hard to get them off. Any help?
  3. I like my Hogue rubber wrap around one with the finger grooves. I have bigger hands and the grip was just too small with the thin aluminum ones that came with the accu shadow.
  4. I would love to do this. But here in San Antonio, my garage gets up around 100-120 degrees in the summer. And I dont have basement. I do have a dining room. bzt. Tallahassee has got to be one hottest, stickiest places on earth. I setup a cheap fan in the door between the garage and my house and it makes a huge difference. Turn it on 20-30 minutes before a practice or reloading session and I'm good to go. How's the transition to the SA/DA thing? I am coming from a Beretta that was DA/SA so it is not an issue for me at all. Ya. San Antonio weather vs San Francisco...big difference.
  5. I just switch to an Accu Shadow from a beretta The main reason I switched was I needed a new pistol. The Beretta was just plain worn out. Lots and lots of play. So, I retired it and got the accu shadow. I havent done a match yet, but will this weekend. If it doesnt get cancelled due to rain, like the previous 2...

  7. I have the 3 factory 18 round that came with the pistol, and 4 Mec-Gar 17 round mags. So no way these will ever be the same length?
  8. I am moving from a Beretta to a CZ 75 SP-01 Accu shadow. On my Beretta, I have always ran with the rubber base pads. What is the advantage of the SP base pads over the rubber?

    Production legal magazines?

It was trigger reset http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=222615 and wont fall http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=188436 will factory 18 rnd mags work?
  14. I have a CZ75 Accu Shadow coming in in a few weeks to replace my worn out Beretta 92 Elite II. I want everything in place. There will be no issue with DA/SA thing since my beretta is the same way. I am a little leary on how to decock it with the manual safety instead of a decocker like I currently have. Anyway. Reading through this forum, there seems to differing opinions on magazines, and not fitting in the box and such. Then I read a thread or two about mec-gars not falling out when mag release or the trigger not resetting. I need to know the best high cap magazine that I can get and be production legal. lets beat this dead horse some more....
  15. so would it be better to have all CZ magazines? There really isn't that much of a price difference. $50 for CZ 18 rnd, vs 46.50 for a mec-gar 19 rnd. From what I am reading, it seems there is some trouble with the mec-gars.
  16. wow that is good to now. Ill find out this weekend if it is really fixed. Thanks to all for the help.
  17. Fantastic I was hitting an anvil with a hammer. After reading your post, I tapped the case with a brass punch. Picked it up and works. Thanks
  18. So. I have a pocket pro 2 that I bought about 5 years ago. It worked. I used it for about a year then stopped shooting for almost 4 years. I'm now back in it. I can set it to par time with no problem. It just doesn't seem to pick up shots at matches. I have the sensitivity set to 20. I don't know what I am doing wrong. I set the par time. I used it for dry fire. Then at a match I set the par time to 0.00. But it just won't start timing. Any help would be appreciated. This thing is practically new. Hardly every used.
  19. I bought the accu shadow. I am a mediocre at best at shooting USPSA.. I got it so there would be no doubt in my mind if the trouble was my old worn out beretta Elite 2, or me. I am SURE its both. By taking one thing out of the equation, i can focus on improving me. Make sense?
  20. I would spend the money and send it in if it were a 550b. But it's just an old 550.
  21. I called.. $69 plus shipping and parts. More than what I wanted to spend on this free press.. Ill keep at it. Thanks for the replies.
  22. I have am old 550 that has been in storage for 20+ years. Time has not been kind to the poor press. The plastic bits have crumbled. The main piston has rusted some. The base plate has rusted.. Lets just say if it can have rust, it has rust. Besides just wire brush/steel wool/elbow grease, is there a simpler, easy way to remove all this rust. I am trying to restore this press to use a secondary...
  23. I saw that last years round count was 359. Since I need to make ammo and ship ammo, I sorta need how much to make and ship? What would be a safe number for a very bad shooter? Would 750 be safe or go for 1000? On normal matches I bring 2x the ammo and come home with a good bit of it, but I can blow thru a whole mess of rounds on steel. Any help advice would be appreciated. I am shooting limited 10. well, I am shooting production in the limited 10 competition
