  1. I have large hands and loved the Beretta. I just moved to a CZ75 sp-01 and the grip on the CZ is TINY compared to the beretta. I am having a hard time with it. But since I read the hogue wrap around grips are legal, they are going on the CZ.
  2. In another post, I read that they were interchangeable.

    ReBlue-ing CZ Mags

do you have to remove the bluing before putting this on?
  4. ha. I have plenty of Berettas, and they dont need to be reamed. This is my first CZ. Also, my wife would kill me after buying this pistol that cost us a fortune ( for us) .
  5. Well. Got the Toni system grips in. And love them. They are a bit heavy. I need to weigh the pistol/mag to make sure I am legal. The grips weigh 42.5 grams each. So 85 grams total. Vs the 48 grams from the czc thins ...
  6. yup. Got them the day I posted the question. And barrel was reamed in 5 minutes. Now I have a reamer and nothing to ream...
  7. How long does it usually take to get the reamer if ordered over the phone from Mason's? In this day and age, I feel lost without a tracking number and tracking the package every step of the way. ?
  8. Thanks..I think I will chance it. I like the way they look.. besides, you can never have too many sets of grips.
  9. Anyone know if those Toni Systems grips are production legal? and how much they weigh?
  10. Well.. Crap..Maybe Ill just move to L-10 for a while. As I said earlier the LOK were based off the 40th Anniversary Profile. Before getting too crazy I contacted my section coordinator, whom is also a Range Master, and he got Troy's blessing that these were good for USPSA PRD division. As far as the Hogue grips go with finger grooves, this topic has been argued a lot back and forth. There was a guy on my squad at Production Nationals with the Finger groove hogues that had got pulled to the side by one of the range masters to discuss the legality of his grips. I know at the end of nationals he and the rangemaster were talking to the guys from CZ to determine if they had ever been put on any factory gun. I wish I remembered his name to find out if he got officially bumped to open. I do know he was quite frustrated as someone in his section had told him he was good to go. I have never seen an official ruling from DNROI saying they are legal. ok great. But are the Euro ones USPSA production legal? the guy said they were not IPSC legal.
  11. Looks like the SSI Scales are topping the charts at 1.334... might try those. I've got some Toni systems grips that are wider, I haven't had time to put them in here yet. I'll do it tonight. They have a palm swell too Here are the dimensions: Are these production legal. DGA says they are not IPSC production legal.
  12. Well.. Crap..Maybe Ill just move to L-10 for a while.
  13. I used the same ones on my Beretta that I shot for a few years, never heard they were illegal. I will look over the production rules again to see. Are you referring to Appendix D4 21.4? It isnt a sleeve. it isnt stippled or textured other than the areas allowed. The part under the trigger guard is smooth. And if they are illegal, what are the thickest possible grips I can get? I even had to build these out with some card board under the grip.
  14. I have to use the Hogue wrap around grips because they were the thickest I can find. The grip on the SP-01 is just too small. With the aluminum grips on it, my right ( strong) hand can wrap all the way around it leaving no room for proper grip. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_p_89_1?fst=as%3Aoff&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Acz+sp01+grips%2Cp_89%3AHogue&keywords=cz+sp01+grips&ie=UTF8&qid=1458838358&rnid=2528832011
  15. Heh - I'm moving back to the Beretta after shooting the CZ's... I'm tried of rebuilding those guns. I think my results have been atypical, but I've had to rebuild them a lot. Dang.. I hope I dont have that trouble. So far its been fine. I do miss knowing that my pistol would work each and every time I pulled the trigger. With a new pistol, I am not as confident yet.

    Easy on/off magwell?

I am bumping this. I have not be able to find a magwell for the cz sp-01. Any help would be appreciated
  17. Ouch.. maybe this US isnt such a good idea as I thought it was..
  18. Hmm.. I didnt know that. Thanks
  19. I did this last night.. Field stripped it, put in the cleaner with one shot. Let it buzz for about 2 hours.. Brushed it off. Let it buzz.. Put it in the oven on 150 to dry it out.. Lubed it and greased it. And it is awesome! Hmm.. So I dont do this for every cleaning?
  20. Ya. I was going to field strip it, but it sounded like I needed to completely disassemble. So I field strip, US, put clean water in, US again.. Dry, lube?
  21. So what is the point of the US cleaner if I have to break down the pistol into each individual piece? That is more labor intensive than I normally clean it.
  22. You have made my day!! I have had someone tell me I would have to disassemble every single piece before I could use the US cleaner.. That sounded like more work than just hand cleaning it.
  23. Is it safe for me to drop my slide into the ultrasonic cleaner and clean it? How about if I take the grips off, is it safe to drop the lower into the ultrasonic cleaner?
  24. Same here. Love them. They do take up a little room. Well, not really. If you run them standard, they fit flush together. At bullets out config, they take the same exact space, just gaps between the mags. Love them.
