  1. I'd like to go lower too, but on the serial number side. I quad load weak hand and need just a little more taken out so I can get the shells to past the catch smoother.
  2. I'd remove the link to the dump, i fear many people will not learn about this leak and minimizing exposure to list would be ideal/ Also I would hope that USPSA would send an email to its user base SOONER than later. Stan thank you for posting this.
  3. Berretta/Benelli MobilChokes are the right ones M2 Crio Chokes will thread into a Stoeger but will not fit flush. Edit: In Jessies video he shows an extended Crio in his Stoeger and you can see how far it sticks out.
  4. I wipe the barrel/rib down with a rag and a light amount of RemOil after matches. I noticed where my hands touched the barrel along with the stamping on the barrel would start rusting by time i get home from a match.
  5. I must of gotten real lucky with my m3k. Slugs at 50 were dead on using LM and IC chokes. I really wish I could trust the Fiochi's in a match because when they cycle follow ups are great.
  6. I'll be at the ProAm SE that weekend but I would love to head up December.
  7. With Tom's help was able to determine that the issue I had last week was the disconnector not releasing as he described in the post. Readjusted the disconnector ever so slightly and ran 100 rds through it before the Atlanta3Gun Club Championship and then another 150ish through it in the match. The M3K ran fine.. plenty of operator errors :-(. Thanks for the sticker Jesse.
  8. Trigger was done as part of MOA package. I disassembled and cleaned the whole thing after the issue happened. Everything in the trigger looks fine and functions as I would expect. Function tested it today 10slugs (Fiochi/TruBall/Rem sluggers) all ran fine. I don't think the slugs have anything to do with it now.. just seems random. Here is what I did today after taking it all the way down and cleaning/lubing. Ran 50rds of Winchester AA Light load (2 3/4 Dram)and 30ish rounds of the Remington STS low recoil (2 3/4 Dram). Within the first 50rds the issue presented itself 3times. Twice with the STS and once with the AA. All three times the spent shell extracted, hammer was reset, nothing on the gate, trigger dead. To get it ready to fire I would have to hit shell release(Put one on the gate) and rack the live shell out. I don't know enough about whats happening; but the bolt is moving far enough to extract, and reset the hammer, but not far enough to reset the trigger? This issue has not happened with Winchester AA SS (1300fps) or Remington Nitros(1300fps). I would just blame the ammo and move on but the previous issues i've had with the walmart bulk boxes involved the gun just not cycling. It seems weird to me that with these other loads it goes through all the motions but the trigger is dead.
  9. Hammer did not fall and it was locked back.
  10. I had a weird issue while practicing this past weekend. Hope someone can give me some insight. We set up a small stage where we shot a slug (Fiochii low recoil) at paper then 6 birdshot(Rem STS Low recoil). After the slug the bolt would cycle, a live round chambered, but the trigger would be dead. I would have to rack, ejecting the live round to get everything reset. I can not recall if there was also a live round on the gate or if i was having to hit the button to drop one. At least one of the times I did hear the bolt "lock" after i pulled the trigger, but the trigger was still dead when i tried again. By the time this problem started happening I had roughly 200 problem free rounds of the STS and at least 10 slugs. From what I recall with the Bennelli guys it happens when they out run the trigger. I really doubt that was my problem because I could dump a tube of Nitro's as fast as i could pull the trigger right after the problem happened.
  11. ^ thanks for the update. I got an order notification yesterday, hopefully mine wasn't shipped out before fix.
  12. I just got Tom's double headed safety and have been dry firing and practicing this. I found (for me) it depended on the direction i was moving and if i was dumping on a table or into a trash can. Right to left was thumb.. anything with muzzle down, ring finger under the trigger guard. Best to just practice it.
  13. .99 cent telescoping magnet from auto parts store. For the nut I have small magnets(bucky balls) that I keep around to drop in side the socket.
  14. Has anyone else received a magwell from the new batch? I just ordered one hoping there arent any fitment issues.
  15. Please post when/where they are available for sale once finished. He has a pic of it a few pages back. It replaces the existing safety.
  16. thanks for the info. I'm patiently waiting for that mod.
  17. I was a 21" guy when I shot my M2. Since I couldn't get a shorty when I first got my M3k I got the 26". I love it! I can run less choke than my 21 or 24" barrels. I think I've only pulled my ICfor a LM once this year. I've run D, CYC and SK more than the LM. I think 26" is my new favorite. Like Bob said the only real advantage to a 24 is a few less ounces out of the end. what length tube are you running Jesse? The only thing i've had to be mindful of is flipping my 26" over for reloads.. Knocked my fiber off on a table once.. other than that I love the 26". Also where can i get one of those Stoeger stickers your running on your tube?
  18. Do you have issues with the VM? I just feel like I shoot the Stoeger better. I think it has a little bit to do with the narrow vent rib. I also like the lighter weight. I originally bought the Stoeger as an economical back up gun to the VM. I didn't realize how heavy the VM was until RO'ing this weekend. 22" VM with a flush tube felt MUCH heavier than my 26" with a +8 tube.
  19. My opinion? Why cant i find it on the site so i can order one? :-). I noticed this weekend (2 3gun matches back to back) that I caught myself hunting for the safety before dumping. Also is the extended shell release available for sale?
  20. The match sounds like a great time. Saw some videos and I'd love to make it out there to experience it.
  21. 7 trouble free matches with my MOA M3K! Close to 1600 Rds since the work was done. Still very happy with the gun and get compliments on the port work regularly. I did polish my own tube. Good to hear it's now done at moa standard. The TTI gate is a must have mod. I also took a chop saw to my stock and removed about a 1/4 of an inch and now I can mount it easily without hanging up in my shirt.
  22. Yeap they are part of our regulars that go up.
  23. It's a great match. There are 8 or 9 of us that have been going regularly from Augusta (~2hr drive).
