    Reloading

I guess I've been doing it wrong
  2. Well I shot my second uspsa match on Saturday and I learned a lesson that i've read about and tried to avoid. In short I went way to fast for my comfort zone and on a 28rnd course of fire had 4Mikes and not a lot of alphas. And I still did not end up being fast compared to the 2 A/M limited shooters in my squad. If I would have just kept my pace and did my part I may have been 3sec slower but I would have moved from 13th in limited on the stage to 8th on the stage, as a new shooter I'm happy with 7th to 9th out of 14 limited shooters. Lesson short keep my pace and game plan speed will come, and for the love God don't forget to reload when I move!
  3. Welcome, I'm pretty new here also but i've shot 2 matches with rgpsc and I got to say there a great bunch and helpful to boot. And the forum is also helpful
  4. Can I be your friend????

  5. Hey what's going on, good shooting with you Saturday

  6. I've got 4 of these now I would like some in a completely random color, like hot pink with lime green pokiedots. Maybe not that but you get the point
  7. I just got done building a limited glock 35, Dawson sights and extra heavy magwell, fulcrum trigger kit, zev mag release, tungsten guide rod with a 14lb spring, and im using Dawson toolless pads. I can fit 20 in one mag and 19 in the other 3. I still need to get a barrel fit to it but as of now the stock barrel suits my abilities just fine. I also got some tru grip grip tape stuff for it and there awesome. As for round count on used guns the worst I seen was a 22 with about 20k on it and there was a spring give up in the trigger and 2 of the 3 pins were broke but after a good inspecting and $4 in parts it was good to go.again.
  8. A friend of mine likes to unload during idpa with corresponding terrible hit factors. When asked, he says, "I'm going to be shooting as fast as I can in a defensive situation so that's what I'll practice." I hope I'm not in the same state when he has to defend himself. I shoot pins with a guy who does the same, with the same shoot fast self defense excuse. 6 pins in 10 or so seconds 15 shots is typical for him. thank god bowling pins don't shoot back
  9. could someone point me to visual reference for holster/mag pouch placement of whats legal and not in the production division ?
  10. I like rcbs dies for rifle reloading. I mainly neck size most the time and full length size when cases start to load to tight. I do have some old herters bullet seating dies that I really like they have a cut away to set the bullet in the push the case up to meet it. But as of now all I reload is single stage.
  11. I'm going to load single stage for now. Size and deprime one day, inspect cases and prime another, powder and cap another. Then crimp on a extra press I have. It usually takes me about an hour an a half a day to do 300 22-250 loads, and I'm sure I could cut the time down on loading 9 mm minor for production. But if I were doing 1000 rounds a week I would be saving up for a 650 real quick !!
  12. I see where I would be lacking at the equipment I have now, so with the correct equipment I would see where I am lacking from a skills stand point. Not an equipment stand point.
  13. Jammer thanks for the offer but I've decided not to keep the para, after a little thinking I'm going to shoot glocks just to keep my grip the same on all my guns.
  14. Jammer thanks for the info.. the para is actually going on the chopping block, well as soon as it gets back its going to the first person that gets me the money for it. I'm seriously thinking of shooting glocks only, I shoot the 17 I have very well. Now for the shooting limited and production or limited and open or open and production. Hell I might try all 3... but money will be the final say that's for sure.
