  1. Venom 6 moa with a 3/16 kick eez cheek eez. Can be found on amazon. Besides the dot lining up perfectly it is also a lot more comfortable. c-more is way to high.
  2. The hole kit would have the Benefit of an over travel screw. That’s it. If you think it needs less overtraval it would be easy to do. I am going to put one it from the back of the trigger guard. Should take about 10 min.
  3. My volquartsen hammer kit ($35 delivered from eBay) came in 4 days early. ? 5 min. Later I have a two lbs trigger pull.
  4. On the 10/22 using just the volquartsen hammer kit got you about 85% of the entire trigger kit at 25% of the cost. Does anyone know if that is similar with the PCC?
  5. I use used a 3/16 kick eez cheek eez pad with my vortex venom. It is perfect. Amazon also sells 1/4 pads. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B005KW7G4Q/ref=sspa_mw_detail_0?psc=1 you could stack two of them.
  6. What comp did you use? Do you know what your buddies load was?
  7. Has any one noticed a difference with a comp vs no comp on this gun? Shot my fist match yesterday with my production load. 147 bayou, 3.0 titegroup, 1.15. Talk to another shooter and he said that he didn’t notice a performance difference on his gun, just noise. I know different loads and different comp combinations will make a difference. If anyone has seen a noticeable difference I would be interested. Don’t want to pay extra money for looks and noise but if there are some performance gains to be made that would be excellent.
  8. Call taccom. The owner Tim usually answer in a he first couple of rings and is very helpful.
  9. OK, I will answer my own question since I’ve had time to look at several different sites for the gun. C-more railway is too high, holosun 510 C is too high, the smaller sites like the vortex venom or the Burris fast fire 3 are low enough. still like the additional height of the cheek eez pad on the stock.
  10. Just purchased a ruger pc. What red dot sits low enough to give you a good cheek weld.
  11. No kidding. I was excited to see 21 posts. I was thinking there would be all kinds of info. ? good to know that I should not port the barrel.
  12. That is what I was thinking. Ports mid barrel would give you more pressure but I wonder if that would be offset by a lot less leverage on the end of the barrel? Based on all of the comments I think I will run no ports or comp as it does not seem to make much difference
  13. Since the bullet is still in the barrel when Gas is coming out of the ports wouldn’t the pressure be higher than with a cop. Compensators have the advantage of venting a larger amount of gas but in a 9 mm there isn’t that much They will also be drilled in several inches from the end of the barrel. Not sure if that would make much of a difference in pressure.I was thinking the ports might be more beneficial since they will use less gas but at a higher pressure. They will also be drilled in several inches from the end of the barrel. Not sure if that would make much of a difference in pressure.
  14. Since a comp on the end of the Ruger barrel at 16 inches doesn’t seem to do anything. I was thinking about sending it to magna Port and have four ports put in right behind the front sight. Has anyone done something similar to this on a 9 mm carbine? Do you think it would be more effective then a traditional comp? I want to run my pistol loads which is a 147 grain Bayou bullet with 3 grains of titegroup.
  15. So all these people running $100 comps are just making the barrel heavier. I like the looks of one but there must be some bennifit. Or maybe not?
  16. I just purchased a Ruger PC. Wondering how much difference a compensator makes on a 16 inch barrel. I am looking at the taccom two port comp.(2 oz) Anyone do any testing to see if one comp works better than the other? Dose anyone think there would be an advantage to cutting the barrel down to 13 inches and then using the taccom 3 inch comp. (2.9 oz) Let me know what has worked best for you. Thanks
  17. I just talk to the Taccom. He has a full race package for the Ruger pc. Includes a mag well, magazine release butt pad and a muzzle break. Looks like it would reload easier than an ar. He also said the volquartson trigger kit for the 1022 works very well.
  18. I was looking at building an AR style 9mm for USPSA. After seeing the price difference and some of the new pieces that are coming out for the Ruger PC I was wondering if that would be a better route. What are the advantages or disadvantages of going with either platform? If I have a compensator installed on the Ruger PC would it still have more recoil/dot bounce than an AR style platform? Any reliability and accuracy differences?
  19. I won production division today. The interesting thing is the shooter that finished right behind me in production ended up one position in front of me in the overal. Jeremy then Justin in production. Justin 5th then Jeremy 6th overall. Has that ever happens to you? Here is a list Bj to practiscore. https://practiscore.com/results/new/54607
  20. Would this be considered altering a prop?
  21. Apex is the way to go. 6,000 rounds w the apex aek and apex ram and not one problem to date.
  22. rowdyb thanks for the great feedback. That is exactly what I was looking for. Do you think the shadow 2, since it is so early in the development cycle will have any changes made to it in the near future?
