  1. I learned the hard way to make sure my once fired and practice brass do not get mixed up. I had a case separate in the chamber leaving a "ring", part brass, part jacket. This kept the gun from going into battery. The result of this happening 14 rounds in to a 32 round stage???? ZERO on a 160 point stage at a major match.
  2. Thanks guys. I am going to give Adrian a try
  3. Can anyone out there recommend someone to tune my 38 SC mags? I contacted Freedom, but Bobby said they aren't doing mags right now. Any ifo would be great Thanks
  4. The packaging will FOR SURE become a permanent part of my workshop!
  5. Here are some more photos. These things are sooooooooooo cool!!!! Thanks VegasOPM for the cool collectable!
  6. They work. The guy that gave them to me loaded up 100 and tried them in various guns. They worked in everything tried 100%. Anotheer cool thing is the primer trays are actually balsa wood. I'll try to post another pic later
  7. Does anyone out there have a guess on @ what year this box of primers is from? A good friend of mine came across these here in town and gave me a box as a "collectible". I am just curious Thank You
  8. Awesome tray. I'm heading to the Depot tonite to get the u-bolt and shelf tray. I have a stack of the boxes already!
  9. Just ran my first few hundred rounds with one of A Neat's pool ball handles, #3 for the "Red" press of course. Night and day difference over the stock handle. Runs much smoother with a ton more leverage!! Well worth the low price he charges!!! LNL 3 Ball.bmp
  10. Just as an update to this post, I am at @ 4000 rounds and have only had on upside down case and no jams
  11. Ok all of this talk of ball size and gripping and sliding is making me a little uneasy LOL!!! I just sent payment for two so I can have a pair! For my LNL and 650!!
  12. I don't know what the difference is between the 2 plates. I ran 400 rounds last night. The only issue I had was a few upside down and I got 2 jams in "drop" block that I'm sure would be because it is adjusted for 40 s&w cases not 38sc which are longer. Now to get press #2 so I can have a permanent setup for both calibers
  13. Got my new #8 plate from Hornady on Tuesday. Installed it and the press run flawlessly. Thanks again Hornady!!!
  14. After discussion with Bob in tech support at Hornady, a new #8 shell plate will be on the way as soon as they are back in stock. As usual, these guys did an outstanding job of customer service!
  15. OK, I marked the shell plate, and it always happens on the station with the mark, and the on right after it. The other 3 work fine. If I adjust the index pawls to make these two work, it is out of adjustment on the other 3, and my 40 plate #10 will no longer index properly. My guess is there is something slightly out of whack with my 9mm/38 Super #8 plate. I'll be calling Hornady for advice tomorrow. They have been a dream to deal with on the only other issues I have with the press, andI think rival the "blue press" guys for customer support Again, what got me looking at this was my case feeder. It will not put a 9mm or 38 SC case in the plate without tipping it on these stations. Also, I had to use the #6 case setting arm .40/10mm, instead of the #2 that is supposed to be for 9mm/38 super , tipped every case no matter how I adjusted the case feeder.
  16. I started with the Lee 4-Hole Classic Turret press. Loaded @ 20k rounds on it the 1st year I had it. Absolutely nothing wrong with that press at all, aside from a max of @ 200 rounds in an hour. I now have a Hornady LNL AP with a case feeder, allowing me to run @ 600 in an hour. If I didn't need the volume, I'd still have the Lee. It has found a new home on a friends loading bench and is still running strong
  17. I'm right there with you Ed. My press runs 40 like a Rolex, not so much with 38sc or 9mm. Looking at it, it seems my #8 plate may not be level.
  18. Ok, here comes the frustration!! I have been loading on my LNL for about a year now, and it has developed an issue with my shell plate #8 for 9mm/38 super. The problem is, it will intermittently not index on a station in the plate. It will run through 5 or 6 fine, then hang up and have to manually be turned. There is no debris on the deck or in any of the ball detents, and it doesn't do it with shell plate #10. I would think it might be something with the plate, but it is random. This is really causing havoc with my case feeder. I loaded 800 40 the other night without an issue, and I just tried loading 9mm. I couldn't get through 3 cases without it tipping one over. Any ideas??
  19. Yep Here they are CM 03-03 Take 'em Down CM 06-01 Big Barricade CM06-05 Fluffy's Revenge 2 CM 08-02 Steeler Standards CM 09-04 Pucker Factor CM 09-07 It's Not Brain Surgery I tried to find some to test all the skills. Don't really have anything long range in this one though. Hmmm......
  20. Boy do we!!! Last year me, Flexmoney, Chad, and Texty McGee walked over to Roosters for wings & beer, then played lawn darts in the parking lot of the hotel with a 12 pack, until like 1am. I mean REAL lawn darts. The kind you can poke your eye out with! Then the cops showed up ............. I want a piece of that action!!!!
  21. For anyone interested in shooting 6 classifiers in one day, Sin City Shooters in las Vegas, NV will be hosting a 6 stage special classifier match on Sunday January 30th, 2011. If you are looking for initial classification, new classification in a different division or are close to moving up, here is your chance! Cost is $23 email or PM me for details if interested Thanks
  22. Well gonna have to time a trip back to see mom around this one. Great excuse to leave Vegas a little early when the weather is starting to get 100+!!
  23. Pretty much I am looking for cleaner for the sake of cleaner. I haven't had any malfunctions due to the dirt and grime, and I can usually get @ 1200-1500 rounds before a deep clean. It just looks so dirty after even just a few rounds that I think it's going to quit running at any moment!! Does anyone make a CMJ in .356? I've tried the MG 124gr hollow points and CMJs in .355 and the Precision Delta are much more accurate out of my gun then the other two
