  1. is the CK worth the extra bucks? if so, why? Thanks,
  2. I have a new one and haven'y used it. I guess i need to decide if I should list it for sale. Switched to an STI from the Glocks.
  3. copper jacket color. Now that sounds more likely than it coming from her gun. I inspected the comp again and just can't see anything. The through hole measured .365
  4. We thought of that too, but my wife had a piece stuck in here jacket, and didn't think it came from above. Thanks,
  5. The wife shot her gun tonight at the indoor range and felt as if stuff was hitting her. ( not impacting hard but definitely felt it) She lays a felt mat down on the bench to protect her gun and noticed bullet jacket schnibbles all over the felt. She stopped shooting and packed it up for the night. Been using the same reload for several years and never noticed this before. Any idea whats happening? The bullet holes in the paper were round, so NO Tumbling, and accuracy did not seem to be affected. Reload info: 124 grain Precision Delta Round Nose Jacketed bullet Speer 38 super Case 7.0 grains SR7625 powder Winchester primer Thanks, Phil
  6. well my loads were certainly hotter than I expected them to be. Checked factory Fiocchi 115's and they were 141,PF, and my reloads were 146PF using Hodgdon loading data. They should have been in the 1100 fps range ish, but were more like 1275fps.
  7. I'll try and crono this weekend, plus I ordered a 15,17 & 20 lb spring set. Thanks,
  8. I have 2 Glock 34's same Gen, one is an almost a stock USPSA Production division gun with minor tweaks, trigger connector, polished parts and stippling. The other a full blown ZEV dragonfly slide, KKM barrel with the same stipple. When i shoot both with the same reload, my stock gun shoots flat, and the ZEV gun jumps around like a sub-compact with +P loads. The ZEV has a 13lb spring. Is this issue just from the lightening done on the Dragonfly slide? What can I do to help tame this thing down without changing the ammo? Thanks,
  9. thanks, Because i spray my other calibers with no issues I never gave it a second thought. maybe i was heavy on the case lube trigger the last batch.

  11. 1. on the paper but it was during a match. 2. couple weeks since I reloaded. I never empty bottles in my shotgun loaders with no issues, nor do i have issues with other calibers. 3. you may be on to something here. usually I spray my lube on in a zip lock bag, then dump them in the bin, load my primer tube with 100, and start loading. maybe a couple minutes from spray to loading. 4. recoil i would say maybe just a bit less, but the report seems to have a whistle sound, but this has only been 4 shots. 5. USPSA match, never got them back, but started with new extreme brass cases 6. i do watch when i seat the bullet in the belled case, and nothing seems like there is a lower volume. Dillon 550, no problems with 38 super, 40 S&W, 32, 45 ACP, 45 GAP, 357 or 38. Power factor at last crono put me at 127 if I recall.Hodgdon book at 6.7 grains puts it at 134 PF Thanks,
  12. I'm loading 6.6 grains of HS-6 under 115 Precision Delta JHP bullet and had 4 occasional different sounding report when fired.(slightly lighter or different sound) I have loaded this powder for over 3 years and never had this happen. All were fired through a Glock 34 with factory barrel. The powder is still from the same jug. I randomly sample my loads and never see anything with with a variance more than +/- .1 grain. (point 1 grain) Lee undersize die OAL 1.090 new brass I was stopped by an RO when shooting a match in fear of a squib. any thoughts?
  13. Ordered a new trigger for the wife's gun, anyone have any comments on installation? Witness Team Gold Open. Thanks,
  14. So I started to clean the bore last night with the birchwood product(treated pads) and I had continuous black coming out of the bore. I wiped the outside of the barrel with the same bore pad and the brown/ copperish color was gone and the black was back, however a bit more cleaning and now the barrel is more so a grey color. Man, this is the strangest thing I have ever seen.
  15. I had an STI Trubor I purchased used that had build up in the comp that was pretty thick, and the same cleaner/Lyman solution took it right off with no issues.
  16. I put my Glock 34 barrel in the cleaner with the Lyman solution for an hour and the barrel is no longer black but more of a brownish or dull copper color. Has as anyone encountered this before? Is it just a cheezy coating applied to the OEM barrel? the reason I used the ultrasonic cleaner is I had fears of some possible lead contaminants in the bore. The barrel was a tack driver and most recently had some major fliers that I think came from plated bullets having some plating strip off. Thoughts

  18. i own an STI Edge and shoot it sometimes with the Nelson 22 Conversion. NO FITTING. shoots nice.
  19. Had some friends look at my rifle to get a number on what they felt it's worth, but its time for a second opinion. DPMS new/unfired LR-243 243 caliber 1 magazine (small) Timney drop in trigger adjustable stock bi-pod Leopold Monarch X 4-16 with 30mm tube (was about $1400.00 new) Thanks,
  20. Krieghoff shotguns had all 3 numbers match years ago, receiver-iron-barrel. Many guns now the barrel will have a different number than the other 2. If it shoots good don't concern yourself too much.
  21. Is this the Patrick Doyle who once worked for AWAC?
