i like my edge, but it came as a surprise from the wife in 45 ACP.. Problem solved if it was a 40.

i am going to try the softer primers next. if that fixes it were good, however if it happens again then i will go to the 6 lb. My wife never has this problem in her XDm!

will a different striker from an aftermarket company provide better hits? if so, what brand?

i go to one place and it is predominantly STI type guns or 2011. This weekend at a different match i had seen a lot of Tanfos. Are the T-guns reliable equal to an STI. I have a 45 cal EDGE that i shoot indoors and am a bit disappointed on service. Several calls, none returned. To me that's a big part of whatever I buy. I shoot a Krieghoff in clay target sports and they have been good with many of my needs for service. Thanks, for the input.

whats everyone's take on the SPS guns?

I'm a newer shooter currently having fun in Production with a G34. I am going to shoot Limited class (40 cal) next season and am going to buy a new gun. Whats the thoughts on the following 3 that I have my eye on? Tactical Sport Orange STI EDGE Tanfoglio LTD or other variant

had 3 FTF's this weekend during a match. Reloads, firing pin spring is stock and the striker channel is clean.

I had a ZEV Glock done complete on a model 34. Can a 40 cal barrel be dropped in or does it require the slide also? Thanks,

also did the 25 cent polish of parts.

i did the ZEV 20 dollar kit, triggers was nice, but several FTF. can't say 100 percent it was the striker spring, but swapped back to stock.

It was the $110.00 dollar unit.

Just installed a PRP trigger kit in my wife's 5.25, very nice.

Called STI 3 times, left messages with no call back.

PM sent, had not heard back.

changed the firing pin spring back to OEM.

The gun has been working great, no failure to fires.

My wife surprised me for Christmas a few years ago with an Edge in 45 ACP. She didn't know what caliber to get and a friend suggested the 45. I was not shooting USPSA at that time mostly paper punching so I obviously had no complaints. What is needed to convert it to a 40? Can I merely order an upper from STI and slide it on or is there way more to it? Thanks, Phil

The striker channel was fairly clean. No brass shavings with just a small amount of crud. It's now clean and dry. Purchased some Federal primers last night and will try next week.

Thanks for the input to all of you. I need primers so I'm going to start with a batch of Federals to try as this is fast and easy without changing the gun. Another thing that was mentioned was keeping the firing pin channel clean, and I always put a drop of oil there, so i will wipe that clean and inspect for dirt or brass shavings. I'll keep you all posted.

i know I'm the one asking for help, but the loader and primers should not be relevant because it has done it with factory ammo too. Round count through the gun i would estimate at 1500 max. I did not try and fire the round that failed to fire but will the next time i shoot indoors. Should I consider a new firing pin? I really am happy with the trigger pull and that from what i have seen is due to the firing pin spring and plunger safety spring I changed. If I go back to my OEM FP spring, I would expect my pull to be back up over 5lbs., correct?? Thanks,

Winchester primer in the reloads, Remington factory ammo. The hits on the primer are hard, why change the firing pin spring?

I occasionally get a failure to fire, (1 per match approximately). Doesn't matter if i use my reloads or factory ammo. (Good primer hits on the FTF) $20.00 trigger kit, slightly lighter recoil spring. Any thoughts on what is going on possibly??

I'm doing the swap wed night on the uppers/barrel. I still think its lame that they don't stand behind it. Its the Wilson name that they were selling. But i guess my brother is just one of the few who got hosed by the limited edition run of guns of 500 which is now at 5000 guns. Life is good, especially if you don't need to warranty your named product, just count the dollars. We completely understand that Beretta made the guns to Wilson specs, but not even the trigger job is from Wilson. FYI, Beretta said if the was withing 3.5 inches at 25 yards they wouldn't do anything for him. Once again, heave ho!
