  1. CZ SP01 Shadow from the CZ Custom Shop. Great sights, trigger, accuracy and no failures in over 8000 rounds since I bought it new in July 09. Cost more than some but I couldn't be happier with the pistol.
  2. I live in the area. River Ranch is nice. Kind of a Dude Ranch, country music, rodeo theme. There is a new Hampton Inn just north of Lake Wales on HWY 27 with restaurants nearby. Not much else in Lake Wales other than an Econo Lodge and small, non-US owned places. Winter Haven is probably the closest town with a good number of motels. There are several in the Cypress Gardens area of WH.
  3. Tampa Bay Suncoast Pistol Club Check out the Calendar and Directions. There is a match in Frostproof this Sunday, one of the nicest venues around. Should be a good crowd.
  4. I"ve been running 230 RN over 3.7 Clays with an OAL of 1.26" -- clocks @ 755 fps, surprisingly easy on the recoil for a major load, but a touch on the smoky side (no problem, just occasionally noticeable, depending on the wind/heat/humidity combination). Leading has never really been a problem. Same here. 230gr S&S Cast Bullets, 3.7 Clays, OAL 1.25. 755 fps. No problems with leading.
  5. I just got my casefeeder last week from Brian along with caliber conversions, dies, etc. for 9 mm. After reading the set-up instructions and all the posts I could find on this Forum, I had my 550 set-up and running in about 2 hours including setting up a new toolhead, changing primer system and installing the casefeed assy.. I couldn't be happier with this purchase! The casefeeder has worked flawlessly. The only mis-feeds I have had with it have been when a couple .380 auto cases found their way into the hopper full of 9 mm. Those don't work so well! I've loaded a thousand rounds with it so far. I've had 2 problems with my 550 w/casefeeder set-up. The first is that after loading thousands of rounds without it, my muscle memory is so ingrained that I can't make myself leave my right hand on the handle. I keep trying to grab a case to insert in station one! The second problem which is keeping me from going faster is that I keep watching the cases fall down the plastic tube and then watch the plunger push a case into position. I guess I better practice some more. Maybe some dry firing!
  6. I ordered primers on 7/15, received 7/28. Not bad!
