  1. If your interested I have a slightly used Lone Wolf Distributors 9mm conversion barrel (item #LWD-229N) and a Lone Wolf Stainless Steel Guide Rod with an ISMI 13lb recoil spring. Both have less than 500 rounds thru it. I would be willing to sell them.
  2. I began looking for a red dot for my two pistols. I am new to pistol shooting and have no experience with red dots. I was thinking of purchasing one sight and switching between the two guns for different leagues which run at different times of the year. I use a Glock for IPSC in the summer and an S&W model 41 for Bullseye in the winter. I do realize that the use of a red dot would put me in open class. It appears that the two different disciplines favor different types of red dot sights. IPSC primarily uses heads-up display/tubeless/reflex sight style sights (ex. C-More) and bullseye primarily uses tube style sights (ex. Ultradot 30mm or 1” tubes). What are the advantages/disadvantages in these totally different style sights? Is it possible to be competitive at both different disciplines with one of these sights? If so which would you recommend and why?
  3. I am going to start setting up my dies to load 9mm for a Glock 22 with a Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel. What is the best OAL to use for this set up? For components I am going to use 124 gr lead (probably Precision Black Bullets) and FMJ (probably Montana Gold) bullets , CCI 500 SPP and Alliant Unique powder.
  4. No. they do not need to be purchased from a person within NY State. They can be purchased and shipped from a person out-of-state. The magazines just need to be manufactured prior to Sept-1994. I just purchased a Glock 22 and I plan to get a Lone Wolf 40-9 conversion barrel which I will need 9mm magazines to work with the conversion. I plan to reload 9's because I have thousand of once fired pieces of brass from the club range and there isn't much for free 40 S&W brass. Also being new to pistol shooting 9's will be cheaper to shoot so I can afford to shoot more practice rounds. I plan to shoot production at our local matches. Before you say it I realize that the conversion barrel is not legal for production class however that is criticized at the local matches. I know that I am limited to 10 rounds for production but I was trying to think ahead and if I ever wanted to shoot Limited-Minor by purchasing the hicapasity magazines I would have the necessary equipment for it. who is OMB? BayouSlide sorry for the confusion that was my fault. the club is OK with the caliber change for practice. I want to shoot the cheaper ammo for practice and possibly if I ever choose to shoot limited-minor. I can't afford to shoot 40 for all the practice round I plan on shooting.
  5. I just purchased a Glock and I need to get a couple additional magazines. I would like to get some hicapacity ones but living in NY that means they would need to be preban (manufactured prior to Sept 94). I've seen 9mm factory ones going for $80 is that really the going price of these or what do you guys think is an average cost? I have seen some aftermarket ones by Promag selling for $25 or less are these any good and reliable? For I've seen both 17rd NDF Polymer and 15rd DF Steel reinforced Polymer. Is one better than another? What about USA BRAND or Scherer mags? Thanks for any advice. Also if anyone knows where I can find some factory ones at a reasonable cost please let me know.
  6. I'm new to glocks and was wondering is it worth buying the DVD "Making Glocks Rock" or can the same information found on the DVD be found on this web site? I'm looking to get information on changing out the sights and trigger improvements. Does anyone have a used copy of the DVD they arew interested in selling?
  7. I know that there are a few companies selling drop in conversion barrels. Is there ant difference? What brand do you guys recommend?
  8. I have been thinking of adding a conversion barrel to a Glock 22. How reliable is the cycling with only the barrel and mags? Other than the barrel and mags what other parts are needed to make the conversion more reliable?
  9. What options did you get to keep it production legal? Did you purchase it directly from Canyon Creek or send them an XDM to modify? How does it shoot? Is it a major improvement over a stock piece? I am about three week from receiving my pistol permit. I will be new to pistols and practical shooting. I am thinking of starting out in Production class and am seriously looking at the XDM or M&P Pro because of the adjustable back strap due to my small hands. Something like this would be ideal to start with a competition ready weapon.
  10. I am looking for a used copy of Matt Burkett's Practical Shooting Handgun Techniques, Vol. 1-3. If you have the DVD set in good condition let me know.
