  1. Welcome to the forums. You can find just about anything you need to know on this site. If you are interested in competition shooting, most of the active shooters are on the forums and shooting matches listed on www.georgiaipsc.com and www.gadpa.com. Tuesdays are great for some indoor shooting fun and after shooting hang outs. I'll be at Autreys in Fayetteville tonight. Join us some time.
  2. Just be sure to check the spent cases and look at the primer pockets for any bulging or deformation. Also, look at breech face for any pitting. I've used SP, SPM, and SR with no issues, but always watch for any stress issues.
  3. Exactly. Didn't affect me as I've gone to 6 pouches and only pouches and only 8 rounds in each mag just to avoid any distractions at the line. For this stage, I talked to the RM the day before I shot the stage to get 100% confirmation that I won't have RO issues. Also, I make sure I go to the RM before the match and ask them to measure/validate my holster as it puts the gun 1.8" from the inside of my belt and some ROs will try to call me out on it. Bottom line, it's easy to get things straight well before you shoot than try to make an issue on the line. I always ask about start positions and show what I'm going to do. Had the RM at Indiana State this year make his ruling on "hands behind back". I wanted to start with hands above my head (yet still behind my back). From a seated position, this made great sense. He said he would ding me on it and I just did it the other way and made sure that everyone got the same info. Not worth the fight for something like that. Bumping me to Open, however is worth a fight to make them prove a rule by what's published, not some email.
  4. Might want to read the rulings on the NROI website... http://www.uspsa.org...ils.php?indx=48 Very clear that holding in hands is perfectly fine... The real question is that at the xxxx match, the RM was telling the staff that single stack and production cannot use pockets, magnets or anything other than a mag pouch, period. I asked for where that was posted as it was not a published ruling and they said they got an email from Amidon. Not worth pushing it for me, but before next major match, I need to know where the official ruling is posted about pockets if one even exists...
  5. Can't wait... Driving down tomorrow with the family. Stages look great.
  6. http://www.uspsa.org/uspsa-match-details.php?indx=789 Planning on going, not yet registered.
  7. Definitely a must-shoot match. My son and I will be there to work and shoot. Apps are in, will work wherever and whenever needed. Just let me know before we squad which day you need us to work.
  8. It's hard to beat an STI Trojan. If you get the Dawson rig that has been upgraded, you won't have anything to do. They are so soft and flat.
  9. Welcome to the forums. As they said, good folks and good info on the site. Great resources in town. If you are looking for an outdoor range for all types of shooting, check out http://www.rbgc.org/. That's probably the closest high-end range near you.
  10. yeah, looks that way. was watching a SIG 1911 last night that someone got for "$72". so, bidgunner got around $3600 + $72 and the buyer probably bought $500 in bids and lost 10 hours of their lives! i'm staying away.
  11. It looks like a scam, but you never know. The penny auction concept is crazy, but the idea of getting a gun for $20 is interesting... Anyone tried out http://bidgunner.com?
  12. Awesome. Thanks for the info. I'm hoping to get down there. What's the best way to get in touch with the MD? I'd like to help sponsor the match as well.
  13. I see the match listed on USPSA.com, but not much more information. It would be my first time down, but would love to get in a major before the FL Open. I'd love to know more about the format, round count, etc. Thanks!
  14. Looking forward to it. Talking things over with the wife to know if we can help work it as well.
  15. You have to sync first from my device, then can sync from practiscore.com and post back.
  16. Figured it out today. Gotta sync from my device once, then good to go. It starts read-only if you just sync from practiscore.com. Ill be on stage 10 at 7am and then going up to 12-18. On squad 28.
  17. I just created a match on www.practiscore.com for the 2012 LPR Nationals. I'm on squad 28 and will have wifi and a scoring device with me. If you would like to download the match into your app and add your scores, send me a text at 770.561.5251 for the password. Here's the direct link: https://www.practiscore.com//match-results/uuid?uuid=C90C8D99-85C1-40A1-901D-5400A4872A5A
  18. Probably stage 8 for me... Lots of options for every division. Blown away that Manny pulled it off in 12.39 secs.
  19. Thanks again to all the great shooters, staff and sponsors that pulled off a fantastic match. I hope to make it back next year.
  20. A few sets of http://www.eyecord.com glasses headed to the prize table. I'll have 5 sets of glasses with me for $125 instead of the $185 normal price for IN Sectional Championship shooters. PM me or email randy@eyecord.com if you want to reserve a set...
  21. Rich, Wow, that is a badass looking pistola! That turned out just freaking awesome. A huge thanks to Rich for this. He got the rear sight and magwell this past Friday and was able to get this done by today in order to get it shipped so it will be to the match ffl holder before he leaves to travel to the match. We will have this up for raffle. +1 for huge thanks to Rich. That is a fantastic looking blaster. I'll definitely get some entries for that raffle!
  22. Anybody driving up from Georgia/Florida that would like to carpool? I'll be leaving the Atlanta area on Thursday and then coming back probably late Saturday. -R
  23. Lots of fun today. Shot poorly, but fantastic match. Thanks to Jay, Paul, Linda, Staff and Shooters for a really great setup. Stages have about 100 ways to shoot them.
  24. Can't wait... Only about 1 hour away now! A little rain here and there on the drive down, but nothing bad. Hope tomorrow is dry.
