  1. +1. When shooting irons, I ran a JP detachable front sight with the post insert. I like the protection that the ring provides for skinny front sights as well as the ease of changing sight inserts out. Plus for coarse close range shots, I just used the front ring as a big front sight.

Did you ever have to pin your (globe) front sight to keep it from changing elevation?

    How fragile was it?

    DQ?

Reload during a back-flip at 00:23 was pretty impressive.

    Ahh - that's a modified ninja speed-reload.

Unrelated to Benos, I saw the video last night lol.

I thought about sending :23 to Rob Romero saying, "Your ninja cock reload ain't got shit on this." :roflol:

  2. Nope, but nail polish remover is pretty cheap and would be used more in industrial applications to plug leaks if that was all it took.

What does nail polish remover have to do with anything?

You've never heard of high pressure gaskets in industrial applications before?

It's not like it has to stand the test of time, just one cycle.

Anyone with USEFUL information have anything to add?

    I meant nail polish - that's a typo there.

Give it a shot and be the first  :

    Nitrocelulose Lacquer

  3. Steel is cheap - I got four pieces of steel and target stands to go along with it for less than $100.

Get some circular gongs from MGM or Arntzen and go to Lowe's to get shepards hooks to hang them with.

I haven't shot my pistol at them yet (and won't shoot my rifle at them) and I foresee them lasting until they rust to pieces - which will be a very long time since I take care of them.

  4. I really thought this was a joke, until I tried it :surprise: . It actually worked pretty darn well. I've only owned a shotgun for a week or two, but after a few tries, dropped a whole second, from 8 shells in 8 seconds to 8 in 7. And this was from Pinwheels, where I had to grab twice for each set of four. I'm now really curious how I'd do with one of those fancy FSLs.

I also noticed I can almost hold all 8 rounds at once in my monster hands. Is Load 8 just around the corner?

    Yes...

I can grab eight, and load eight using both hands at the same time.

Only if you mean filling my shell caddies. :roflol:

  5. I've never used the .308 version but the 5.56 version works just as advertised.

It's an effective compensator without the aggressive "blast" of bigger ones. It works just fine keeping rounds on target without blowing around debris or throwing concussive blasts.

  6. And just to confuse everyone:

For many years I shot a Beretta 92G Elite II in USPSA and a few times in 3-gun.

The pistol had no safety, just a decocker. There was no condition that the pistol would not fire if the trigger were pressed and it was loaded/in battery.

I sold my two Elites but I have a Sig P226 now that I might shoot in 3-gun one day.

It cannot be put on safe either.

How would you all handle these two guns?
