If they don't have it - it's pretty obscure.

+1. When shooting irons, I ran a JP detachable front sight with the post insert. I like the protection that the ring provides for skinny front sights as well as the ease of changing sight inserts out. Plus for coarse close range shots, I just used the front ring as a big front sight.
Did you ever have to pin your (globe) front sight to keep it from changing elevation?
How fragile was it?

What is the max distance we could be looking at?

For those of you rediscovering this thread (like I am), Mr. Miculek is joining Facebook and I'm sure he wouldn't mind a few more hits for his new page:

You were waiting because they were too fast - not too slow...

Nope, but nail polish remover is pretty cheap and would be used more in industrial applications to plug leaks if that was all it took.
What does nail polish remover have to do with anything?
You've never heard of high pressure gaskets in industrial applications before?
It's not like it has to stand the test of time, just one cycle.
Anyone with USEFUL information have anything to add?
I meant nail polish - that's a typo there.
Give it a shot and be the first :

How much does cutting the mag spring down make it easier to load fast?
It makes it easier for the gun to malfunction.
Mine are 12" beyond the assembly - some run them longer or shorter.

"Primer seal" is to keep moisture out and will not retain high pressure gas (X0,000 PSI).
have you tested this? i don't think it has to retain x0,000 pressure gas, just has to help the primer seal.

Steel is cheap - I got four pieces of steel and target stands to go along with it for less than $100.
Get some circular gongs from MGM or Arntzen and go to Lowe's to get shepards hooks to hang them with.
I haven't shot my pistol at them yet (and won't shoot my rifle at them) and I foresee them lasting until they rust to pieces - which will be a very long time since I take care of them.

Forgot about that guy too.

LOL, have I shot a vent rib in 3 gun? No. I started with my Benellie M1 Super 90 14" Entry gun.
The stock M4 was an improvement.
I'm confident that if you try a vent rib barrel in a match, you won't be considering this decision.
-
OP, have you shot a vent rib barrel in 3-gun before?
-
I'd get rid of the pistol gripped stock, install a vent rib barrel for faster target acquisition (you can't), and a tube that holds 8 rounds or more.

I really thought this was a joke, until I tried it . It actually worked pretty darn well. I've only owned a shotgun for a week or two, but after a few tries, dropped a whole second, from 8 shells in 8 seconds to 8 in 7. And this was from Pinwheels, where I had to grab twice for each set of four. I'm now really curious how I'd do with one of those fancy FSLs.
I also noticed I can almost hold all 8 rounds at once in my monster hands. Is Load 8 just around the corner?
Yes...
I can grab eight, and load eight using both hands at the same time.
Only if you mean filling my shell caddies.

Facial hair - the more you have, the better shooter you'll be in Limited.
But really, the answer is:

I've never used the .308 version but the 5.56 version works just as advertised.
It's an effective compensator without the aggressive "blast" of bigger ones. It works just fine keeping rounds on target without blowing around debris or throwing concussive blasts.
-
They're too big for any sort of dope. Even a 550 yard shot won't come close to touching the ring.
-
It was a great match - the RO's working it were the most experienced I've ever spent time with. Hats off for throwing another great one!

Most people shoot Outlaw 3-Gun with no PF.

@ Bill
Over at Steel city, we used iPhones and iPod touches. As common as iPhones are these days, it should be easy to find one per squad to score.
With a portable charger inserted at 50% battery life remaining, we had no trouble getting through the match:

And just to confuse everyone:
For many years I shot a Beretta 92G Elite II in USPSA and a few times in 3-gun.
The pistol had no safety, just a decocker. There was no condition that the pistol would not fire if the trigger were pressed and it was loaded/in battery.
I sold my two Elites but I have a Sig P226 now that I might shoot in 3-gun one day.
It cannot be put on safe either.
How would you all handle these two guns?
