  1. My next notebook is going to be the itty bitty dell 710m :)

Any of the Dell notebooks will work for what you need - I would suggest using the outlet as Nik said and get the most RAM and storage space that you can buy!

  2. Personalizing the analogy with your kid's name was bush league. BTW, both kids are in the same class and taking the same test because of the No Child Left Behind Act.

I am blaming this whole mess on Ron Avery. I refuse to take responsibility for my own actions.

Oh Gawd Ron - I'm running out of room in my signature - but this is going in there somewhere!

  3. Sheeet boy, there are times i've run the stage with the cigarette!

Put it in prespective, a carton of cigrettes cost almost as much as a 1000 bullets. Could you shoot better if the smoke were coming out of your gun instead of out of your face?

Tell me where the f*&^ do you buy .38 jhp bullets for $25/1000???? I'll give up my carton for that!

  4. There are very legitimate reasons for making USPSA membership mandatory. There should also be a mechanism for a waiver for a *FIRST TIME SHOOTER*.

Now back to everyone's favorite family fun-time show of busting Bruce Gary's balls without having all the facts... <_<

Thanks Eric - you saved me from saying just that

My other point however, is RTR said "Seems to me instead of creating artificial barriers in order to force people to become USPSA members, a better solution would be to provide more incentive for people to join. If the current set of incentives are not doing it then perhaps they should be reexamined. Bottom line forcing people to join is not as good a solution as making USPSA membership so useful that people cannot hold themselves back from joining."

It costs money to grow an organization. You can not just create something out of nothing, believe me - I've tried :) Go take a look at the last B.O.D. meeting minutes from 10-1-05, there's a full budget report.

  5. My wife tells me "For every gun you buy, I get a new piece of jewelry... You go boy"! Tony

You're getting off cheap boy, in my house, every new gun he gets equals a new gun for me too

He keeps asking me if I want a new diamond for our anniversary this year - and I keep telling him yeah, you can have johnny put diamond cuts on my new limited gun :)

  6. What I really would love to have would be plumbing, so I wouldn't have to leave when nature calls.

That's exactly why we're building ours in the basement and the next thing to get done is the bathroom :)

  8. Whew - I know I'm sometimes blonde, but I was pretty sure I knew how to read a map :)

I just spoke with our in-house travel agent at work and she said I won't see them much cheaper as summer is high-season in Italy and also that particular weekend is premium because it's a 4 day weekend for most of the U.S. She came up with $1144 as the cheapest.

Oh well, maybe we'll just come visit in the fall - I am really hoping to do this trip this year for our 20th anniversary

  9. Plus all web designers are FROM HELL AND SHOULD DIE SLOW AND PAINFUL DEATHS INVOLVING MOLDEN LEAD ENEMAS AND FIRE ANTS! Shooter Grrl, whom I've never worked with, excepted, of course...

    Michael B

Nice Save Mr. Bane, and may I point out that I am still available for work for you and I promise that when I'm through with you, you'll, at a minimum, want to skip the molden lead enema part of the long painful death for me B)

  10. I needed to close the Friday flamer, but didn't want to put a kebosh on Denis' support, so I moved those posts here.

Denis, our thoughts, prayers and heartfelt sympathies are with you and your family. Losing a loved one is one of the roughest things we face in life. Be strong, and know that you are not alone.
