  1. In what case can you AD and not get DQed?
Are you joking? If you UD any other time than loading, reloading or clearing a malf and it stays in the range - you are not DQ'ed.

If you UD during the draw and it hits dirt outside of 3m away from you, you are not DQ'ed.

An AD on reload is proof (barring broken parts) you had your finger in the triggerguard during the reload, which is a DQ offense in and of itself without any shots fired.
And so the shooter says "I took the shot on purpose and the proof is that it's a bee-you-tee-full A hit!"

And again, my question is, why is hitting a target less safe than hitting dirt? :P

  2. Because it indicates a lack of control of the gun. The fact that it hits a target, or the even the berm is purely a coincidence. An accidental discharge should more rightly be called a 'Negligent discharge'.

The shooter was negligent because they had their finger on the trigger during the reload. This is a no-no

All AD's, UD's, ND's, etc, indicate a lack of control of the gun. Why does one instance send you home as a safety infraction and the other one let's you keep shooting the match?
  3. So what's hot about second place? This was a HUGE field course and I smoked it

 Notice please the points - down 9 - thank you very much!

  4. Ayup - we shoulda brought the waders - it was cold, wet and windy for most of the day, but still worth the drive and the weather. EXCELLENT MATCH! Mr. Ball put on some wonderful stages and is an excellent RM/MD. Thanks Dave - looking forward to Berm Aid II (but get a new guy in charge of weather)

Jake DiVita won Open, Tony Hawkins won Limited and Rhino won Single Stack!

I got to hang out with "Thomas Moore if possible", Cameron, Matt Cheely and RB too. Lemme just say, those guys are FAST! I know what I have to practice now!!!!

  5. I have been reading this thread with great interest... got my magazine, pin and sign in all ready to go.... then I got an email last night that 2 open slots are on their way - wooohoooo. I was not thrilled about having to stay up until midnight on the 30th as I have an 8am job interview on the first. Can you imagine... geez Kathy - why are you yawning all through the interview... well I had to stay up late to get my name on the wait list for the nationals. What's the nationals.... :)

  6. You scored 46 % Mall Ninja Personae!

My test tracked 1 variable How you compared to other people your age and gender:

You scored higher than 72% on Personae

72% higher than almost 40 Females - imagine that :)

46%?!?! Wow - musta been the AR, Remy 700, the throwing knives and the fact that my guns cost more than my car (Why didn't it ask what kind of car - it's impressive when you drive a Cadillac, not so impressive if you drive a Yugo!!)

  7. Alright youse guys - I set up a password protected directory for you to store your videos. You'll need your own transfer software and you'll need to know how to set it up (they vary greatly). Once you've made it that far, pm me for the site name and password.

  8. RHINO

I even took pictures to prove he's still alive :) Alas, they're still in the camera - twill probably be tomorrow before I can "process" them (unless someone wants to volunteer to do my accounting midterm and homework for me that's due tonight that I blew off to go shooting over the weekend!)

  9. Hair over them makes 'em look like shit. Either keep yourself shaved, or put it where there's not much hair!

Definitely DO draw it on with a sharpie, specially if it's going to be someplace YOU CAN SEE it :) Just trust me

And yes, once you get one, you'll end up with more. Tats open up a whole new world even valley girls like me can be included into
