  1. 1 procedural for not following the stage description --- and whatever hits/misses actually showed on the targets.

10.2.2. doesn't apply --- there's no advantage gained by taking more shots strong hand only or by firing at one target after the reload. (you might be able to convince me there if the shooter was shooting an eight round gun or a revolver)

9.4.5.1 - 9.4.5.3 don't apply because there were no strings, and there weren't any extra shots fired. There were shots fired at the wrong time --- hence one procedural.....

    Yup - that's the answer!

  2. Kat,

Did you get what you needed out of this thread?

If not, let us know. I'd love to participate if we understand better the context elasticity is falling in.

    J

Thanks Jack - the question asked of us was to define elasticity, including the other determinants besides price and then to categorize these items as elastic or inelastic:

    Apples

    Buttler

    Gasoline

    Cigarettes

    Marlboro Cigarettes

  3. When I was done shooting, the match official looked at my husband and said

"Is she just learning to shoot?"

How long ago was this you ask... this weekend!!!!

I have a TON of really good excuses, but have decided to just suck it up and take it like the GRRL I am

  4. Holy cow bounty hunter - that's alotta drugs! Do they work? Have you tried them by themselves?

I've had the Imitrex but they took me off of it, decided that with the diabetes the heart attack risks increased to about 60% DOH! I'll have to see if the nasal spray has the same risks.

No pain killers work on mine, not even darvon!! I'm looking for a Doc that will prescribe morphine for me to try - but so far no one is willing. Obviously none of them have ever had a migraine!!!!!

  5. Okay - here's my official introduction... though I'm quite sure that Julie is wrong and everybody does know me

I guess first I should tell you that my "other" name is Kathy Littman. I've been shooting IPSC since 1989, but took about 5 years off during which I lived in Australia and got settled back here in the States. I consider my official start in 1995 as that's when we came back seriously.

I started shooting because I missed my husband :) After the third weekend in a row waking up by myself I put my foot down and told him either you take me with you or you don't go. Thankfully, he took me with him! We've spent the last 10 years traveling to as many matches as our finances would allow to us attend.

We've also moved around a bit in those years, finally settling in the Northern Kentucky/Greater Cincinnati area this year. The best thing about the travel and the moving is the exposure to all the great clubs/matches/shooters out there! I LOVE this sport

  6. Get squadded with Shooter Grrl (That way I get lessons on achieving my goals)

    :D

That's funny Cam! I know how it's *supposed* to work but I'll be damned if I can actually achieve all of mine!

And 'sides, didn't you get stuck with that other Littman this year :P

  7. The match director is a lurker here - he was kind enough to send me the stage description... now y'all can be REALLY impressed

He also issued all y'all a challenge - can ya beat the 8.63 down 3 :)

  8. Unfortunately, I forgot to update my address at uspsa.org UNTIL I read that cards were being mailed to associate members - ooops :) How long will the survey be active?

Can you make the associates personal password work for the survey like you did for the online squadding?

  9. Not only did I smoke 'em - check out the time difference between 1st and 2nd! And don't let that U fool you for Chris - he's a M in Open! Also, one last little detail - please do note where my Mr ended up :P

Edit: A couple of other points... I won 3 stages, but ended up 4th in the match cause I had gun troubles, so it was a real roller coaster of a day. We were also working the match as our hours requirement to join the club so neither one of us were really all there. Oh yeah, and to top it all off, it POURED on us all day long.

I reinforced that I shoot best when I don't care about the results (imagine that!) All I wanted to do was finish and get inside. I also learned that, damn, I *CAN* shoot steel fast. While shooting, literally, I thought - why are you shooting slow - this is easy and I kicked it into high gear. I nearly fell over when the RO read out my time. The guys on the squad were a little surprised as well ;p
