  1. Gosh Dawg. I want to thank everyone for all that was accomplished and truly enjoyed meeting many new folks, especially the fella that came all the way from Britain to shoot the match. The RO's were great and a first for many, might as well get trained at a big one...I did. Linda Chico, nuff said. Mark Fingar and Dave F. were out there running right along the shooters to get great pics. Marty and Dillon Aero, thanks for yer support...again. Kerrin, you jumped right into the pot. The Sponsors were incredible and hope everyone contacts them, they make it happen. Wounded Warriors, thanks again. Hope I did not scare the NRA, thanks Mike. I know this will be successful. I thank the good Lord for all the rain and wind for 9 days and sunshine for 2. The Shooters...thanks for your patience and competitive spirit. TJ, you da Man, next year?? Mark and Team LaRue made this possible and we will make it better next year and hopefully no hay hauling involved. BBQ - Nuff said. I do apologize for turning off the Hooters Girls, just too cold and nasty. I will accept all debrief/AAR comments, that is how we get better. Scoring - it will change. Don't know until you try. Rules will be updated and posted, understood by all. Overall I think is was SAT but could have been better and I will take the HEAT round for that. Multi-Gun will continue to evolve and we will make it mo betta as a collective group. 15-16 May 2010 will be the next one, that is tentative, MTF. Adios Greg
  2. You may carry long guns in a case, or in yer hands-action open, muzzle down, and pistol in holster. All we ask is to use common sense.
  3. Yes Sir, you will be fed, compliments of Mr. LaRue. You will not need Buckshot for the match, but may use it if you want.
  4. Squad list will be posted on the web site some time today. http://216.23.214.70/ThreeGun/
  5. FYI Linda will be at the range on Friday, 27 Mar from 1300-1700 for registration. She will then be conducting registration at the Fairfield from 1900-??? Shooters brief is 0700, Sat, 28 Mar 09 at the range. We will start shooting at 0700, Sun, 29 Mar 09. AMF
  6. Just to make this clear one more time... This is a NRA sanctioned competition. The NRA in no way, shape of form had anything to do with the scoring, stages, penalties, format. I chose to use the NRA TPC target because I like it. I wrote the rules. I designed the stages. The NRA has NOT "ruined" anything, they are here to support 3 Gun and competitors. I greatly appreciate any and all feedback. A critical element of any mission or event is the debrief/After Action Review, that is how we get mo betta.
  7. If yer decision making process is based on rules, perhaps you should choose another arena. Yes Sir, I made some changes and it has nothing to do with the match being full or the timing of my decision. Rules continue to evolve for every sport or game in order to challenge the champion. I am a one man squad and will attempt to provide a challenging, tough, course of fire that keeps you thinking. Oh yea, and I want you to have fun and learn something. I raised the standard, you never lower them, thinking outside the box. The rules are the same for everyone, nuff said.
  8. Here is the MINIMUM round count for the match....again. Rifle - 210 Pistol - 125 Shot - 65 Slug - 18
  9. 9 Line is for the Air Farce. Standard Army Ranger CFF, (Call For Fire) B11, M69, Fire mission, over From my position, marked by strobe 2-7-0, 60 meters, Danger Close Troops in open Cleared Hot! M69, B11, Roger Winchester Mini and Rockets, engaging with M4 and Grenades. This was an actual Call For Fire.
  10. No Sir, stages will not be posted. There will not be any low light stages.
  11. It will be a hoot and there may be a Shiner or two laying around.
  12. Okay Fellers, I have made a decision on the issues that were brought up earlier. After many hours of discussion, input, phone calls, emails, scientific analysis, and recommendations... I am not changing a thing. Shoot hard and have fun! Adios
  13. Sorry Ken, been a bit busy. You are good to use mags cinched together and I do not consider that a supporting device. FTDR - Jump down on a long range stage and blast 10 shots at 10 targets. It is subjective and I will leave it up the World Class RO Staff I have running the stages. Keeps the cheating to a minimum.
  14. We have talked about it but the 'ol Goat Herder is pretty busy.
  15. Hey Fellas, Stirred the pot on this one eh. This is not a practical match, it is a tactical match. Providing a challenging course of fire, the fastest shooter with the least penalties wins. I am still working the penalties and will post when I make a decision but it won't be a whole lot of difference. My intent is to provide the shooter with a course of fire that will challenge you, I have always been taught to reward the accurate shooter with the fastest time. I did not come up with this over night, it has been a long process as a whole. The targets are new, NRA TPC. The "0" scoring area is larger than other targets and was developed for the NRA by a doctor. Yes sir, we are entering yet another new system for competitive shooting and will endure some growing pains. I am by all means not an expert but will guarantee a good time and you will learn something. Feedback is good, both negative and positive. I'm not one to follow, I lead. Just trying to figure out a rewarding system for the masses. I will skin this Cat with some help, I can't please eveyone, it is impossible. So...come shoot, do yer best and have fun. I will post pictures and dimensions of the targets when I get 'em. This is America and I saw to it that you have the freedom of choice. More to follow. Adios Greg
  16. We are going to have some soldiers from Wounded Warrior attend the match. I will set up a bay for them to do some blasting and have come up with a Chariot Class for the Chair-Borne. The soldiers will be coming from Special Operations, Ft. Hood, and San Antonio so far. I may even try to run a few through some of the stages if they are capable. I know they will enjoy coming out and visiting with a group of great Americans and do some shooting.
  17. Updated Rules, additions in Red. LaRue_3_Gun_rules.doc
  18. I am working on updating the rules and will post in the next few days. Remember the scene in the Cowboys where the Duke drew the line on the chalk board and told the young lad that you had to be this tall to go on the cattle drive...I am one that will move the chalk board. 26.50 inches is the new limit.
  19. The 'ol "T" word, Tactical. I was waiting for someone to catch that. LaRue Tactical is the Match sponsor, Multi Gun is the competition. Perhaps we should organize a naming committee for future competition.
  20. I used the same equipment for 7 years in the World Wide 3 Gun - 7.62, .50, 2.75 Trapr - thanks for putting that into perspective!
  21. Okay fellers, new rule...all rifle optics will be on 1 power! You like apples, how you like them apples.
  22. Sir Kelly, you are a gentleman and scholar. Sorry, no live targets.
