The extended chokes with the colored rings look nice and work well but the colored aluminum ring tends to get beat up badly by dump barrels. Go with the solid black tubes as others here have advised.

Make sure she sees the Pink Versamax Zombie Tacical.

I was a lucky bastard. Stopped by the Safariland booth at the SHOT Show to talk with a friend and they were getting ready to do a drawing so I threw my card in the bowl. Ended up getting a 50% card for up to $1000 worth of Safariland gear! So now this year me, my shooting buddy and my son will all be sporting ELS setups. BTW, 3 people can run up $1000 real fast!

When I tested the differences back and forth, there was no difference in function or accuracy so we went with the more versatile option.
This certainly seems like the best solution.

My very humble opinion, a Light Modified choke is all you will ever need for 3-gun. I use a Briley but any brand will do.

Back to the OPs gun, I really like the cerakote finish. Had I not bought one of the Zombie guns it's something I would be doing. Plus it makes it really easy to spot on a table or rack full of black guns.

I have the Briley handle on my Versamax and my 1100. Very happy with it.

AP Custom had a pretty solid, fast looking, load two carrier at the FN event.

Any eta on the one piece tubes, in green?

Me likey! Mine should be back from Triangle in the next day or two.

Ha ha! My ZombieMax is already on it's way to TSS for work! Pics will be posted here when completed.

Compared to the dirt mound with a log on top of it we had to shoot off of last year that roof simulator looks down right comfortable!
Until you start sliding down the incline.
Same problem on the dirt mound!

I shot all of last year with the 22" tactical model and was very happy with it. All I added was a +1 end cap from Roulette Tactical. There is nothing wrong with getting a 26" gun and building it up but I think the tactical with a +1 or +2 cap will be all you really ever need. Other opinions may vary.

I want to go to the match and shoot less, said me, never.

I'm at the acusport show and got a chance to put some rounds down range with the new Colt competition rifle in 308.
Very nice gun, soft and flat. I think its going to be a great heavy metal choice.
It has the same type adjustable gas block as the 223 version.

Had the pleasure to meet Mick at the Caspian booth at the Shot Show.

Patiently waiting!
You're a better man than me. I'm waiting impatiently as hell!!
-
looking forward to it, will be there tonight

If the range was never going to be greater than 100 yards I'd still be using a Leupold CQ/T.

Versa Max for sure. There are some new things in store for future VMs...
Less hinty, hinty... more showy, showy!!
-
You need a new choke anyway. Cylinder bore is not the answer for three gun. An IC or light mod is a far better choice.

Moving full steam ahead here. My thoughts are, sign up for matches. Worst case scenario, gun ownership banned, you get your money back.
If that happened, getting my money back would be the lowest concern on my list.
recoil issues :JP Open vs Versamax

I have a Versamax and an 1100 Competition Master. Wile the Versamax has less felt recoil than the 1100 I would have to think an Open Class JP 1100 with the compensator would be at least a little softer than the VM.
