For chrono, I just make sure I've worked up my loads, chrono'd them properly, and loaded them consistently (check charge throw and OAL regularly). Then go to the match and don't worry about it. They can take rounds from wherever, they'll all make PF.
+1 ^^^^^^

Thanks, guys. You've taught us that it's easy to cheat the chrono (and apparently lots of people do?). Now we all know how to do it.
Would have preferred a discussion about the value of doing it right, playing fair. Sheesh.
Is THAT all you got out of this 54 post thread. Sheesh!

I shoot Bayou Bullet's 200 gr SWC all day long in my G41. My Gen 3 G30 SF doesn't like them (FTF),
so I'm switching over to Donnie's 230 gr RN.

I have the .300 on my 41.

Dead linkWith this ruling, does anyone think it might be time to revisit how this rule is going to be interpreted for Kalifornia? I realize it is just one city, but we all know how things go in this state.

Well there's some reason, people are selling their Glocks and going to CZ's.There is another distinct advantage to DA/SA, most of them have an additional 1 lb. of weight that helps control recoil.
that's a disadvantage, it slows down your draw and transitions.

I'm not taking up for him, but "trolling"?There's a label for this type of scurrilous behavior - "trolling".
He has almost 2700 posts.

Don't know for sure, but I think your OAL is too short.
-
Did you chamber check them? Your reloads or?

Are all USPSA shooters on this forum, or the USPSA.org forum?
-
Shoot them, there's very little difference. I started reloaded in '08, and that was all I could find. I've never seen a reason to change. 9mm minor and Major, .40 minor and Major, and .45 minor and Major.

Has the powers to be, ever thought about the RO's shooting on Thursday?
-
But when your shooting a match, the GM's shooting Major will probably spank you. :^)

CHANGE!

Amazing, I'll be sure my Jeep is clean. Amazing!

What about staying in Fredericksburg, and driving to DC each day? Or staying in Alexandria, Va, after the match? Or, what do you suggest?
-
Thanks, I was afraid of that.
-
OK, I'm thinking about this. We've wanted to visit DC, yeah really. So I could shoot this, then we could spend a few days in DC.
Will I be OK if I have my SS .45 8 rd. mags and leftover ammo when we drive to DC? What if I decide to shoot Production with my G41 and 13 rd. mags?
-
I've had two right shoulder replacements, the last one was a total replacement. I shoot Production with a G41 with a PF of 140. Very soft.

Maybe a RO can remember ONE simple 12rd. stage, but after shooting TWO other stages. On a 12 round stage, it seems plausible to me that an RO could remember the hits, especially if they were simple (like you had all alphas except a C/D on the last target. But you would have to be SURE of it, and even then I think the competitor would have to agree. Otherwise the competitor can simply challenge the scoring decision, and with no target for the RM to look at, it's pretty much a reshoot.
We have certainly used the RO's memory for targets in the past (example, a prematurely pasted target that the spare RO at a major match specifically looked at on his way to supervise reset and clear the stage). But I think if the shooter were to dispute that call, a reshoot would be in order, since there's no way to prove it.
but question for the OP.... suppose you had burned the stage down with a great time. Would you have been OK with the RO 'remembering it' in that instance?
SA .45 trophy match problems, help appreciated.

Any chance you're riding the slide release when shooting?
