I carried a .45 1911 Government for a few years. IMO, it was too bulky.
I now carry a G36 in a IWB Blade-Tech Razor. It's very concealable with just a T-shirt. If 6+1 of .45 is not enough, I'm just spraying and praying. Not a good idea.
So Iam back to the idea of a carry gun and bored before I go to work so let's talk lol. Been looking at the G19, some sig models, CZ models and of course the 1911 of some kind. My run down is I like the Glock because its a Glock but I don't shoot them as accurate as the others, I had Sigs mine were very accurate and reliable, I like CZ's but never shot there compact line, the 1911 I shoot very accurate but in the back of my mind I question it's reliability. If I were to get a 1911 it would be a Dan Wesson I believe. For a carry gun I don't care if the gun gets wear and tear because its a tool not something to show off so even a expensive 1911 would fine its way around town alot. I also clean my guns alot so Iam not one just to use it with no cleanings I can thank the Army for that. Also Iam debating the 9mm vs .45

If those will fit a RL550, I'd like a couple. Please let me know.

Michael, thanks for the information. A personal reference is important.

This is good information.
Thanks Ken!

Tricked out G17 from Zev.

Good info, thanks, but I only have Solo 1000, now. I keep checking Powder Valley each day for it.
When I tumble 9mm, I have a bunch of rare magnets in with them.

Several are are available now. I just ordered a case of 124gr JHP. There still available. Some .40's also.
-
It sounds like, I'm in for a big learning curve.
-
I'm getting ready to shoot Open, Minor I think. I have a case of MG 124gr JHP on the way.
Can I use Solo 1000?

Youtube is your friend.

I shoot mine in L10 and Production. It's a great gun.

As I've said before, there are several states that only allow 10 rds.
-
LOL!Were there a bunch of guys saying "just shoot your Glock in Limited"?
-
All I'm saying is, USPSA is IMO, a sport for all shooters. Not just the Super Stars. If a new Division will bring in new members, what is wrong with that. BTW, I hate shooting with a Red Dot.
-
I wonder what % of all USPSA shooters have the ability of Hilton Yam? USPSA is for the average shooter, not the GM's.

Here in Kentucky, (Land of the Free), High Capacity mags are legal. As mentioned above, some states limit mags to 10 rds. That's a lot of shooters.
-
Really? What about the states with a 10 rd limit?lets get rid of limited 10 its outlived its usefulness anyway

I gave a box of 44 mag, that I loaded in '68 to a friend. They all went bang. They were stored in my garage.

Are you saying, your lubricating the Trigger assembly?Over lubricating can also cause the trigger not to reset. I shot a match (poorly) today where I had a trigger reset issue with my Glock 34 Gen 4 while I was testing it out at the safe area at the start of the match. The night before I tried out using X25B grease on it as opposed to my normal gun oil. Great stuff, but I clearly put to much on and it had to do some quick degreasing with some dry patches to make sure everything worked well. Once I did that, the pistol run great for the rest of the day despite being subjected to rain and mud from my magazines that went into puddles during reloads. I knew I was a dullard for doing something different before a major match before I could test the results so I deserved what I got.
Turns out it rains quite a bit in Florida in the summer. Who knew?

I shoot, I have fun, I don't care.

I don't think you can modify ANYTHING that is visible. But, I've been wrong before.

Contact Mike Foley @ http://www.shootersconnectionstore.com/Default.aspx He will not oversell you.Apologies. I'm a bit new to the sport. What 9mm minor from sti would you recommend that can shoot 9mm off the shelf?

I recently purchased a G36. It's now my EDC. Very thin and concealable. I use a Blade-Tech IWB Razor. I forget I'm wearing it.For several years, I carried a .45 Trojan in a Milt Sparks VMII. After a few weeks, I never even felt the gun. Don't go cheap on a holster, or a belt. I own two belts from http://www.thebeltman.net/, both are almost 5 years old. Neither one sags.

A Pearce extension takes care of that.
