  1. I bought a PM9 about a year and a half ago and it is an excellent firearm.  High quality parts, excellent slide/frame fit, good trigger, and barrel lock up. It is extremely accurate.  I am thinking of picking up another because it was so good.  Funny how we can all get different experiences from the same product.  What was wrong with yours?

Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack your thread...

Believe it or not 45 outsells everything (in single stack) by a pretty good margin.  If anything I would bet they are going to release 45 first...and see how it sells then consider adding 9mm down the road.

Honestly I'm shocked by the lack of optic options for 1911's, there is a giant hole there - sure you can get them if you special order from the higher end semi-custom makers (Wilson, Nighthawk, etc). Dan Wesson has one model, but their quality has come down very recently.  Kimber has a couple...but uhhh..Kimber.  Then I think there are a couple of options at the very bottom of the market.  So maybe Sig thinks this is something that will be popular, you can't really sell any other model of firearm these days without an optics mount on it...but somewhere 1911's get ignored.

What makes you say Dan Wesson quality has come down very recently?

I thought that was a great plan, with the caveat Revo was scored major at minor PF to offset the capacity and reload times;  I think the last pole nixed that idea.

I'd sign on for L10 optic for certain.

I like the major power factor idea.  Well, in listening to the podcast they wanted to be able to sort the results by people who shoot and don't shoot revolver.  That sounded encouraging.

  4. I had finally settled on shooting my 9mm single stack with a dot in Limited Optics.  If they allow dots in revo, I might have to revisit this.  I really didn't like shooting my revo in open.

  5. I see that there is an item on the January 22nd USPSA board meeting agenda that says they will be discussing revolver division rules changes.  Any idea what they going to discuss?

  6. I find that my 627 with Alchin mount works really well.  I have to be aware that depending on where I sight it in, it might shoot a bit higher or lower at far or near targets. How's that for a word salad?

  7. It's beginning to catch on around here.  At our indoor matches, which have a lot of newer shooter, LO and CO are about even.  For me(at 72 years old), I can now shoot my single stack with a dot and not have to shoot against open shooters.  If I have a good match, I finish in the middle of the pack.  I'm really enjoying it.

  8. 2.5lbs is just about ideal for my taste.  I hate to make a permanent cut in the slide and lose the iron sights.  I'm wondering if there will be an optic ready version coming out.

Posvar, I think that you're right, my Parrot hasn't gotten any looser over the years.

  9. Good info, thanks.  Do you know if that play increases as time goes on?  I'm into 1911's and do all my own trigger work.  The combo of CZ and 1911 might make for a nice Limited Optics gun.  I talked to Stuart at CZ about some sort of dove tail mount for a red dot, didn't seem like there is one available.

The Parrot is a $3000 gun & the DWX is a $2000 gun. Want no play? Spend more.

And my $1600 Shadow 2 Orange has zero play, not sure how this applies to my question.  I was asking to see if this is normal or if this is a bad example.

Interesting, from recent posts from PSI it appears a recent new board member in the 'Finance Committee' has been denied access to historical financial data.  The Org has somehow misplaced(?) a 7 figure sum of money and the new member of the 'Finance Committee' is asking how/what/where?

    Sorry, what is PSI?
