I called Mec-Gar USA and got the part number for the new 9mm mags. Part - MGWIT9SFAFC UPC - 765595750005 'Available in March' is what I was told.

Do you have the Mec Gar 9mm part number?

Watching this thread with my fingers crossed. I love my Elite Matches but not the mags. Hopefully they will have a new part number so they do not get confused with any older style mags.

OK, here is more info: New EAA / Tanfoglio 22LR made in Italy conversion kit that will fit any caliber large frame EAA Witness pistols, 9mm, 10mm, 40S&W, 45ACP and 38 super. Has threaded 1/2"x28 muzzle for sound suppressor use and comes with a knurled thread protector. Complete kit with threaded barrel, slide assembly (black), recoil spring, guide rod, cleaning brush, instructions and 10 round magazine in plastic case.

I was googling for a 22 lr conversion and found a listing for a kit with a threaded barrel. Does anyone know if this is the new standard for EAA?

I am also interested in 9x23 win. I was thinking of trying 38 super barrel in a 9mm upper and 38 super mags. I may need to change out the spring but I am not sure yet.

The plastic is adhesive backed UHMW. The same stuff cutting boards are made of. So far it Seems strong enough.

New design mags are due in the next couple of months. Status of new 9mm Magazines !

I have a couple of Mec-Gar MGGT21-16 small frame 9mm mags that are turning in to project mags. So far I added a piece of UHMW POLYETHYLENE STRIP to the back of the mags. This seems to work pretty good, but the mags are a bit too thin. So I have ordered some .050 UHMW to add to the side opposite the mag catch. I will not have the second piece till Monday. I will update then with pictures.
