  1. Over the last few years, for some unknown reason, I've started having issues with my weak hand grip during multishot shooting.  If I don't think about it, I will loosen my grip during a stage and start to have 5 0'clock hits as opposed to where I was aiming.  This wasn't a thing back in my Infinity days with 1.5# triggers, but it's a real problem now.  I've finally started a fairly consistent dry fire program again, for the first time in 10 years, so maybe this will help get me lines out.  If I "think" about it, it's hard to shoot out of my sub-conscience like we prefer.

Any ideas to help speed this along?

  2. Have any of you checked your PF before and after porting a barrel?  I shot a coworkers P today that had DSC V8 porting on the barrel.  It was super flat and probably flatter than my XC.  I'd be interested in porting my CS carry gun to flatten it out a bit if I knew it wouldn't greatly reduce the velocity.

Does RMR have a 'sealed base' bullet or are they all exposed lead?

The matchwinners are truncated cones with exposed  led on the bottom.  They have a JHP Im thinking about trying for a couple cents more.  I called the LE rep for Hornady yesterday to see if I could get a hook up on some HAPs.

In my forgetful old age I only load 9MAJOR with HP's. 9minor gets anything BUT HP's. I am leaning towards PD RN 124's

Do yourself a favor and try the RMR 124 grain Match Winners.  They are always available and very accurate.  about a dime a piece.

I am glad there are folks that don't cough at a $4000 pistol and it is even better for the folks making the profit on those types of pistols.  Just can't see it in my eyes. Off of the shelf guns can do a lot with practice.  Bullets and practice.  Be careful on the classes as well.  Don't fall into the fast guy, egomaniacs that could never win a title, but claim to teach you how to be a champion.

I am old and have spent thousands, and I mean thousand on this sport. It has been good to me, not for wins and losses on the lower levels, but for the friends that I have made over the years, folks I am proud to say I know and have known. The best was when we started to get the names on our shirts on the back.  Must be a better shot at a championship or just a ego boost.

The ego's are worse than I have ever seen now days. The very reason I don't shoot much anymore. If I shoot a match today, it is for the soul reason to get together with my old shooting friends and laugh at the ego monsters. If you can afford it, buy it. You worked hard for your money, but do remember. It won't put you at the top because you spent crazy money on a work of art, unless you are Hunter Biden and you are the seller of the Art.

There are a handful of shooters out there that those type of pistols can makes a difference in their hand only.

Sorry for the rant, just my opinion and thousands and thousands spent over the years.  But the friends and memories were good.

I don't disagree.  I shoot a $2500 Staccato about the same as a $6400 Atlas.  And have an equal amount of fun with either one.

My second dq was for the same thing. Also a lefty

Basically when I seated the mag, I curled my trigger finger into the trigger guard. Luckily the bullet then go anywhere that hurt anybody.

Thinking back on it, I kind of think there's a natural tendency to curl the trigger finger and unfortunately it happens to end up in the trigger guard. Then when you seat the mag and decide to grip the gun there's a little bit of sympathetic movement of the trigger finger that can possibly cause this if you're not paying attention. Luckily I've only had it happen once in 18ish years of shooting, but it can happen

I think my bigger issue what using a 24 round MBX mag that takes a firm hit to seat.  From now on, I will start with those fully loaded, but won't reload to one.

  7. Had my 2nd DQ in 16 years tonight at an indoor USPSA match.  Somehow as a lefty, I managed to get my finger in the trigger guard during a retreat/reload and barked one off.  Thankfully it was in a safe direction and nobody was hurt.

This was def not a double charge. All other rounds fired just fine from two other pistols. I didn’t pick up the brass still the disaster. I don’t fire a round pick up brass fire a round pick up brass. Def was the gun. Just Google p320 blowout. It’s all over the place.

I hope you can argue your case with Sig, better than you did in this thread.
