So, what are the opinions on a commander length 1911 for single-stack? Also, has anyone put several thousand rounds through one of the S&W scandium framed 1911's? Thanks!

Thank you for all of the great feedback! I see there are plenty of shooters, and notion of supporting the shooting sports makes a lot of sense. I think I'll enjoy shooting my Kimber in SS. Thanks again!

All, This is my first post, though I have been a lurker for some time. Simple question: I do not see many Kimbers in the game, why not? In the spirit of full-disclosure, I currently have two 1911's, an STI Spartan and just yesterday picked up a lightly used Kimber Stainless Target II for a steal. Thank you, Scott
