  1. Unique is dirty but not as dirty a Bulleye The new formulation is much cleaner than the old formulation. I don't know when you did your tests by several years ago Unique was reformulated and made much cleaner burning. However it is still dirty. As I stated above the 2 shots was to establish a starting place. When I get more data I will post. David We did our testing the other month, the Unique was probably 2 years old or so give or take, the container says something about a new formulation or whatever is this the one you're referring to?. I just wasn't very happy with how dirty it was is all, but we aren't having any problems with the clays and they are shooting really nice with a pf of around 125-130...
  2. I would definatly agree with Bubber, take some more shots w/ your 3.5gr load and get a better average, 2 shots isn't a large enough sample to get a descent set of data points from. We had gotten a pretty good shooting load w/ Unique powder in our short colts but decided to go the clay's route after seeing how filthy the gun got after a couple dozen rounds. Let me know if you want and I can dig up our load data for 160gr. LRN and for 125gr. LRN.. --Bruce **edited for grammer
  3. Get it done man, you won't regret it, especially if you are cheap and shoot lots and lots of 200gr. SWC like me
  4. +1. I love my 8000, the main reasons I got it was for dryfiring and the ear bud setup works really really well with it also. It may cost a little more but to be able to dryfire in the house without getting screamed at by the wife is worth it.
  5. I didn't have a problem either of the times I did it on a concrete floor at an indoor match in Minot the other month with my North Mountain holder. I wouldn't really recommend doing a big bellyflop with it or anything but i thought it was just fine and I didn't have any problems w/ loosing any clips or anything...
  6. I can't wait for ya to bring that out and maybe see about giving it a shot I'm just dreading the day when I find a double stack SVI for that good of a deal downstairs there
  7. Galeton, Co Galeton is just 20 min or so east of Ft. Colins
  8. The van's ready for the trip and I've got a blindfold of the old guy Now I've just gotta figure out which revo I'll use... Bruce

They're not Beanie babies, they are collectible action figures. lol
  10. Quick question, is there a limit as to how much metal you want to take off when doing this? Like is it possible to get it too light to where it starts requiring more mainspring pressure to get reliable ignition?
  11. Loosing Bud is a big loss to the revolver community, he is definatly someone which i look up to and someday strive to be more like. Here's a link to a quick video that I got of Bud at the ICORE match that they had held in May of this year. It's of him in the shootoffs on the second day. Bud Bond ICORE Shootoffs 2007
  12. They are definatly the slick way to reload your 10 shot revo, and there is even a nifty loading block that goes with those as well
  13. It was definatly a good time as always and congrats again on the win Scott! Bruce
  14. When I got them it cost me $65.00 for them, that was counting the trial pair and the box of them, the problem is that I only needed 2 pairs total but w/ the box and the trail pair i have 4 sets of them which will last me forever. Otherwise I think it was a pretty good deal.
  15. I have a pair of the orange ones also which I wear for softball, it does work amazingly well for toning down bright lights. It's really nice because when you see the ball go up into the sun or lights you can pick it right back up on the other side. I also enjoy the looks that I receive from other people when I wear them. You should really try driving at night with them in. All of the headlights look like really dim yellow foglights, even when other drivers don't dim their bights I haven't tried them for shooting as my eyesight isn't that terrible. Just that things are a little fuzzy at long distances (outfield to home plate). When I wear my contacts for shooting my eyes dry out and i have problems seeing the front site really clearly. So that's all I know about them On a side note with the contacts in I dislocated my finger playing softball and when I got to the hospital they really hurried me in after all the nurses were worried about my eyes.
  16. I had the exact same problem with my JM625 with all of the thousands of 45 brass that we have from our 1911's. The gun never had a problem with any factory ammo though so I purchased a regular Lee Factory Crimp/Sizing die and now 98% of all my reloads drop cleanly into and out of the cylinder and it works like a champ..hope this helps some.
