Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Brownells has EGW ignition kits, hammer, sear, disconnector and sear spring. 296-000-069 blue 296-000-070 stainless $85.00 USD b-
  2. If you're worried about the hardness of the frame, take it to a hardening shop and have it measured. I wouldn't worry about it, if it were mine. I'd sand it smooth and using a vise for squeeze and dowels, you can force it back to close to where it needs to be. Unless you're hanging hardware off of it, the dust cover does little, except to help the spring stay fairly straight. b-
  3. Gun not fully into battery will cause off center hits on primers. +1 and luckily, it did not fire.

    M&P 9mm

BTW, it seems that the BEST M&P trigger jobs START off using the MA 10# setup. Check out mp-pistol.com - Dan Burnwell, David Bowie, sponsors there, offer great services for your M&P. b-
  5. The 24# spring in my .460 conversion (and super) is a bit much for me to easily rack the slide. I know some of you guys [gals] use slide rackers - and maybe might help. Where might I find info about these? Thanks for reading. b-
  6. 'Zactly - clean the hole/pin with something good, acetone, etc, and dry it out. Have someone hold the barrel on say, a vise anvil. Center punch HARD the center of the pin. Repeat for the other side. Now smooth the areas down (flatten) and you're good to go. b-
  7. I'm afraid I don't understand - why are we making the pin smaller in the middle than on the ends? (I think that maybe this thread was on a stop that couldn't be fully inserted.) One easy way to get a bent stop, other than poor lug fitting, and that would be a non straight pin. If one is looking for a minor delay in unlock, keeping the lock timing, reaming the lower link hole is much more accurate. Are we compensating for a twisted lower lug section? b-
  8. +1 on that! Wanna erase some metal? DLC and chrome (and a few others) make it a fortune in tools! b-
  9. Headspace KBs are caused by lack of case support, normally caused by a recessed breech face. High pressure and deep reaming can cause ruptured primers and broken extractors.
