I had a stuck bullet one time in a match. The good thing was it was during slowfire. I was using my first batch of 45 acp ammo made on my new 550b. Being new to me, one got by with no powder. At first I thought it was just a misfire. It just went click. I opened the slide and out came an empty case. ?????
My second thought was it short cycled and returned the empty to the chamber. My 41 S&W does that with SK ammo. But no, this just went click. Luckily I looked into the barrel and saw the silver lead bullet about 1/2" forward. I grabber my 1/4" brass rod, left the line. I placed the rod into the muzzle and tapped the rod down on the cement floor.
If that had been in timed or rapid, I might have missed looking in the barrel. I know better now. And I load on the 550 better.
