  1. I'm thinking I know this company and had the same issue. In fact, I'm willing to bet a case o' beer on it. PM otw.
  2. Well, at LEAST I didn't plug them dead center mass. Not like I've EVER done something like that before....
  3. Do a search on the USPSA site for some of the top shooters classification scores and you will feel better. For example, Todd Jarret and I both have something in common: We hate classifier 03-09. Membership information L2458 Name: TODD J Joined: 5/14/87 Date Number Club F Percent Entered 8/07/05 03-09 FREDERICKSBURG ROD & GUN CLUB E 65.7982 8/08/05 Membership information A61999 Name: JOHN D Joined: 5/06/08 8/16/08 03-09 CENTRAL TEXAS RIFLE & PISTOL CLUB 21.3066 9/10/08 Even the best tank classifiers, but not as regularly as some of us.
  4. That's SERGEANT FIRST CLASS Robbie Johnson sir!!! I raised the lad from a pup!
  5. Warning: Place all beverage holders in a secure location prior to viewing. Link:
  6. LoL! I like that. While it absolutely sucks tanking a stage you KNOW you could have shot better, the feeling of triumph after "rolling the dice" on an array and NAILING IT is hard to beat, and keeps me coming back for more. "Safe" is better in the long run, but "going for it" sure is fun!
  7. Hero or zero, and zero is usually the case.
  8. I did just the opposite, transitioned from an AR to an MP. The MP made me appreciate the design of the AR so much more... I much prefer the convenient locations of the selector lever and mag release on the AR.
  9. Stick with slap, rack, and pull. Do it ONCE to reduce the stoppage. Don't investigate the cause, just slap, rack, and pull. This can be done fast and will fix some common stoppages. If this doesn't reduce the stoppage, then investigate the cause and fix it.
  10. The 1911 puts the "practical" into "practical shooting" for me! I just LOVE the gun!! Happiness is laying the smack down on limited / open shooters during a 32 round stage DESPITE having to do 4 mag changes to their 1 or none!!! Besides, without the trail of magazines to follow, I wouldn't be able to find my way back...
  11. I hope you have that dot thingy dialed in. The pesky poppers are out along with long cross bay shots on cardboard. The pesky poppers are a perfect example of why I like my itsy-bitsy- teeny-weeny front sight post.
  12. Yep. "Shooter ready" (turn off electronic muffs) "Stand by" (remember to keep mouth closed) BEEP. (crap! press ear muffs tighter with hands). "practical" shooting? Don't forget the preemtive Exedrin. Sweeeeet!!! Of COURSE you are shooting that baby tomorrow right? Somebody's gotta give Jake a run for his money with one of them there fancy guns!
  13. How cool is that! I can't imagine a kid that would NOT want to dress up like a cowboy and shoot REAL guns. Good stuff.
  14. Rubber band. K.I.S.S. principle. It works, and requires no modifications to the gun.
