rowdyb
Just because you've done it one way before, or think you know, it doesn't mean you necessarily know this time. In this case, I bought extra capacity base pads for the magazines of a gun I rarely shoot. I did not look at the instructions that are, now I see very clearly, on the manufacturer's website. Nor did I ask anyone who might know. I just assumed I knew how they went together and just did it. Four times. Wrongly. And that was exactly why my mag puked in a stage and cost me a division overall win. In my case specifically, if you buy the CZC extended base pads for a Tactical Sport the floor plate tab that points upward goes outside of the magazine tube, not in it. Seemed counter intuitive at the time but I was wrong. And it made a difference. No matter how experienced you are, if you install new parts make sure you did it right.
