Smitty79
I'm a Production B class senior. I shoot a CZ. I can shoot 90% points doing a draw 2 in about 1.35 sec. The 2 dry fire "gurus" I've read, Stoeger and Anderson, both advocate doing draw practice without pulling the trigger. This is how I practice. When I draw, I think I'm seeing myself getting on target and then pressing the trigger. I expect that this is costing me about a tenth of a second. Would practicing prepping the trigger, without breaking it, help me improve my dry fire practice?
andrewtac
I use the Anderson drills, and I prep the trigger in the drills he says not to pull the trigger on. 1911 now, cz before.
Jake Di Vita
I'm not a fan of prepping the trigger in dry fire at all. Pull that thing through as fast as you can while forcing yourself to keep the gun still.

This is done for a different purpose/focus. Different from pulling the trigger drills. At least its how I understand it.
Chuckie45
The way I read it in Anderson's book was to prep the trigger, but not to break the shot during draw practice. The focus remain on getting an acceptable sight picture as fast as possible.
36873687
First 6 drills no trigger pull. Way I read an listen to Steve's pod cast, finger on trigger don't remember him saying prep it on first 6 drills I may be wrong.
