Status message

In the view profile screen is a "has not set their status" screen. I did a search and could only find a response that said you could put whatever text you want there. I figured that out easy enough, but what is the status message and where does it display once you set it. And once you set it can it be changed again???

If someone views your profile then it shows them your status message. You can change it again by hitting the Update button next to it.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure of the utility of such a thing, I guess i will just ignore it until such time as it seems useful.

I think maybe people could use it to indicate if they expect to be away from the forums for a while, in case people are trying to PM them or something.
