Mec-gar +2 extensions........

I just read about the availability of these extensions, and would like to know how they work before purchasing some for my sig mags.....

Is it just a hollow base pad?, would the springs be the same or would this extension cause the springs to not place enough tension?. any real life expenrience is appreciated.

Not sure about the Sig extensions, but I absolutely love the Mec-Gar +2 extensions on the Beretta 92 mags.

I use them with my duty mags and have no problems with them. I would highly recommonded them. If I thinking right the +2 for the 226 will only work with the new mags. Which is all right because it has a new finish on them that make them even better.

for under 30 dollars for a new mag with the extension seems like a bargain.........

I wonder if the pads on these are what the +2 is or something similar. Good reviews for them if it the same thing.

If they would just make a +2 for the 17 round S&W 59 series mags...

one retailer told me that these are the same magazines sig sells with their SCT model, they are half the price when they dont say sig on them.......

I got a shootin' bud that is running some of the Mec-Gar mags with extensions on an XD-9 and he really likes them. Nice capacity.
