twodownzero
I have a cheap knockoff light from Hong Kong that is just as good as any Surefire and was something like $25 on Ebay. An LED light is going to be bright and do the job no matter what the brand name. Edited December 21, 2009 by twodownzero
Duane Thomas
I have a TLR-1 on my issued M4 and while it's good, it's not nearly as good as the X300. I've tried an X200 before and it's also pretty good, but the X300 is a lot better. What makes the X300 "better" than the TLR-1 and X200?

I've tried an X200 before and it's also pretty good, but the X300 is a lot better. What makes the X300 "better" than the TLR-1 and X200? X300 vs. X200. No comparison, the X300 is brighter, lasts longer and depending on the age and generation of the X200 (A/B or flat vs. coil springs for battery contacts) Any SureFire vs. Streamlight or Insight. Based on my limited sampling of about 500 officers a year, the SureFire is waaaaay more durable. Other than the issues with the flat spings that have been fixed, I rarely see a SureFire go down. When I do it's always due to the crappy batteries that the Department buys. If there is a TLR or M3 on the range I expect it to fail, and I'm usually right. The TLR's are much better than the M3's but still not up to the durability of the SureFire.
