Hi-Power Jack
Years ago (when I couldn't afford it) I remember seeing ads in the gun publications for a Magna Trigger, I think was the name - it required the shooter to wear a magnetized ring to be able to fire a S & W revolver (heard they could do it only with S & W's). Haven't seen the ad lately (now that I can afford it) - anyone know if they're still around? Any feedback re: how effective it is? Thanks, Jack
chirpy
Did a Google search and found they are still around...just type in magna trigger safety! Originally they were designed (I believe) as a safety devise for LEO's carring a revo. Never heard any bad press. Not sure why someone would want one now but TEHO. Pricy to say the least! You can almost buy a new blaster for what they cost but YGWYPF. JMHO Richard
Carmoney
I had one of those! I actually won a certificate for a Magna-Trigger conversion at a shooting match when I lived in New Hampshire. The guy doing them, Rick Devoid, is a solid guy. He bought the rights to the design from the inventor after he died. I haven't seen Rick in 20 years. Duane Thomas
An old friend of mine had a Model 65 that had been Magna Triggered, and it was his daily carry gun. I got to see him fire that gun numerous times. The system worked. Those big ol' stainless steel, plain sheet metal rings you had to wear, with huge honkin' magnets on the back face, weren't the greatest fashion accessory though.
