hal1955
I have a G17 with a LWD barrel, 9mm of course. Does anyone know if that barrel can be rechambered to 357 SIG? Edited October 15, 2009 by hal1955
Revopop
It'd probably be cheaper to buy a new barrel in .357 Sig.
mscott
It'd probably be cheaper to buy a new barrel in .357 Sig. Probably the best option. Sell used barrel for $80 and buy new barrel for $100.
Braxton1
It COULD be, but the exterior diameter of the barrel would be wrong. 40 Glock barrels have a larger OD than the 9 barrels, so when you went to put this modified barrel in a 40 caliber slide, the front fit (where the barrel bushing would be) would be way too loose. You'd use the 40 slide because of the necessary breechface dimensions. The exception to this would be if your LWD barrel was a conversion barrel, having the larger exterior dimensions. L-10_shooter
357 sig cannot be fired out of a 9mm breech face (G17 slide). You need a .40 slide and a conversion barrel to 357 sig.
