The_Vigilante
I have recently noticed that during dry firing that when I pull the slide back rapidly and let it go the hammer doesn't cock. When I pull the slide back slowly the hammer does cock. Is this normal?

Jeff Matzka
I have recently noticed that during dry firing that when I pull the slide back rapidly and let it go the hammer doesn't cock. When I pull the slide back slowly the hammer does cock. Is this normal? It certainly doesn't sound normal. Even if you're pulling the slide only part of the way back, it should at least engage the halfcock notch. You may want to place a call to CZ-USA Customer Service - 1-800-955-4486. I haven't dealt with them personally, but I've heard that CZ offers very good customer service. Good luck.
chirpy
Sorry it took so long to check things out. My Phantom cocks no matter how fast or slow I retract the slide. As stated above, I would contact the factory. Good Luck, Richard

The_Vigilante
Yea, the hammer is following the slide most of the time. Pistol is on it's way back to the CZ Custom Shop for repair. Thanks to all for your comments. The pistol did have custom work.
