installing C&S ultra lite sear, hammer & disconnecter

Just installed the Cylinder & Slide parts in my STI and got a great trigger pull of just a hair under 3# and very crisp. Lo and behold, the gun will fire (if loaded) with the safety on.... Now what?

Any ideas where I can send it and get it back soon?

sounds like your original safety is not mating up with the pad on the new sear, take it to your local knowlegeable gunsmith, tell em whats happening, let him look and see, push comes to shove, you mite, need to fit a new safety to that new hammer/sear set

Almost the same problem here- had to have the

ambi's refit to work- no big deal- for some one

with the knowledge and tools.

More than likely you will have to fit new safeties. But.....a good smith may be able to weld up or peen your current safeties for contact to block the sear.

Order a set of SV ambis....they are the absolute easiest safeties to fit. All you need is a small file and a little bit of patience. Take the grip safety out so you can see where the tab and sear line up and trim the tab until it just barely slides in and contacts the sear. R,

...or, go to any welding shop and have them put a very small spot weld on your safety. Then dremel it close and finish with a file.

I'm afraid the above gunsmithing suggestions are beyond me...Hopefully, I can find a gunsmith that can do it.
